How has no one else commented in this bonehead’s saying one of his squat reps hit the safety bars?

For one, some posters who are laying critique in this thread have NOT claimed “EASY” over 400 pound front squats and hack squats with 6 plates a side. Why should they put up pics or videos? You did upload a video, so expect some feedback.
I saw 14-15 year old 120~ pound boy in my gym this tuesday, squatting 300 pounds on his back, barely being able to balance the bar on his back for a “rep” (that is what he called it). His “squat” was just as deep as yours.
Know what the fucker told his friend? He said: “I could had actually squatted 350, that felt easy!”
At the same time I was fearing for this kids spine and for him not to get injured, just because he wanted to post his MAX PR on the internet forum.
My advice is simple. Take 50% off from the bar and start squatting deeper. Get your form and depth to correct level (ATLEAST parallel) and the rest will take care of itself. Your lifting form is just going to get you injured…
Big coincidence that that happened to happen TODAY? no?
lol
I promise you all that within a year I will
Bench 500
Squat 600+ with top form
And deadlift close to 700
then I will come back here and some of you can suck it.

Or it happened on tuesday.
If you reach these goals, great. If you dont, this thread become more of an epic fail than it already is.

How is it an epic fail?
What i’ve shown that I can deadlift 500
Squat 400 for 6 reps that are of at least the same standard as some of the squatting I can show you from many top bodybuiders — just because it wouldn’t pass a powerlifting meet…
That my arms are already 19" in two months of training?
What’s the epic fail?
The epic fail is the people around here that can’t even unrack 400lbs that want to write so much shit.
See BONEZ post for why your squat is fail.
This thread is a giant cluster fuck going both ways. Some guys dont deserve to comment, but many do. You are a beginner, yet choose to argue your ignorance with them. Quit it. The guys who shouldnt post shouldnt, the guys who are legit are trying to help but you keep throwing lil fuckin hissy fits.
If you dont want them to keep sayin shit, stop responding everytime they do. You dont help your cause.
After all,
the internet…its serious business.

The point is, if you are going to lift with BB form (ROM & setup that suits stimulation rather than max weight moved) fine. But that means you can’t claim all these amazing feats of strength and not expect to be questioned by people who lift in conformance to PL meet standards.
If you want to compare numbers (on a BB forum in particular is somewhat off) you need to conform to accepted ROM and lift standards. Or at least qualify that the lifts are partials if you want to avoid getting called out.
In short: If you want to brag about development then your look speaks for you, if you want to brag about your strength levels, then ROM and technique speak for you.
It is just the way it is man.

Well let me first start off by saying I, like everyone here, doubted those numbers. I’m glad you proved everyone wrong, and glad that you’ve set goals for yourself. However, You have a shitty attitude and because of that you’re limiting yourself. You’re coming into these forums telling people they’re not trying hard enough, and while in some cases you may be right, who the fuck are you? You’ve been dedicated to this for 2 months. Others have been for years and years. Many people have limited time to train because they’re balancing careers, family, hobbies, etc. etc. Don’t come in and assume people aren’t trying hard enough, call everyone on the forums out, and expect to be treated kindly.
People are sitting here trying to help you out, and you’re crying about it. To be honest if one of my clients tried squatting with your form, and that kind of weight, I would strip the bar and have them squat until their depth improves. While the weight you’re squatting is impressive, your form is not. Try lightening that load and getting your form correct, which is what ALL the experienced guys have told you. Rather than accepting that advice and adjusting your form, you post videos of guys who also squat like that (though, I believe bonez pointed out the feet placement).
You have great potential when it comes to power lifting, and we will see in time your potential when it comes to body building, but your attitude shows your immaturity, and arrogance. Change it, and accept the advice that more experienced lifters are giving you to better yourself.
My 2 cents. Good luck with your goals.
This has been very entertaining and i’ve enjoyed every moment but i’m now going to try and be serious.
OP, you came here begging the question- “Are people here not trying very hard??” For anyone posting on an internet site such as this, we are ALL hobbists. This is nothing more than a hobby. Some may have dellusions of being hardcore but no one is. The true hardcore people don’t post on internet sites. They are living the shit 24/7. It’s all they do. They could care less about how blessed you think you are or how big your frame is. They are focused on one thing- Being the best. They don’t care what others think on the internet.
Even us that compete are doing it as a hobby. We have lives outside the gym. I’ll give you a reality check. Right now in China, somewhere, there is a little girl who weighs half of what you do and she is squatting more weight than you can ATG with perfect form. The reason- she’s been doing it since she could walk.
I know i’ve been busting your balls, but you really do deserve it. I really hope many years from now you look back and say- “damn i really had no idea what i was talking about. I should have shut the fuck up, asked some intelligent questions, learned a few things”. Right now all you are doing is making excuses for poor form while at the same time boasting about how much better you are than pretty much everyone else. The true elite don’t give a fuck what everone else is doing. They spend their entire time critiquing themselves. They will never live up to their own expectations.
Stop saying you are going to run away and come back in a year to show us all how great you’ve become. 1. we won’t remember who you are when you do come back and 2. Who cares what anyone on an internet site thinks about you. It really is all about your own expectations of yourself.
You aren’t special. None of us are. Trust me on this. I used to compete with the sole intention of beating others. That’s all i cared about. Then one day the light bulb went off and i realized that there’s always going to be someone stronger or bigger than you are. The only way to continue to enjoy what i was doing was to be better than i was previously. I now compete to beat my previous best numbers. I don’t care what the other competitors are doing or what their numbers are.
I really hope you take some of what i’ve said to heart. There’s no grey area here. I’m right and you are wrong.
All i ask in return is a hack squat video of you going as deep as me with 6 or more plates a side ![]()

Squat looked like 3 plates per side? Couldn’t tell.
Regardless, a 315x6 or a 405x6 squat is legit within a few months training (I’m only at 455x6 ATG after a couple years, so I guess I have a lot to learn from you!). Form didn’t look too pretty though, def work on that.
Def wanna see that front squat. 400 is legit weight big man.

Don’t let your height be an excuse for high squats. there are many people much taller than you that can squat ATG. I’m 6ft 2 and can squat low. I used Bulgarian split squats for a about a month before i could get down low enough
OP, try looking up Defranco’s agile 8. Some of that might help with tight muscle groups preventing you from depth. There’s also an article called 3rd world squat that’s alright. Also, I like Dave Tate’s articles on squatting. I might not be naturally gifted like you or have the experience some people like MM and Prof X have but Defranco and Dave Tate are pretty strong and knowledgeable.
OP, here is what i suggest you do. STOP POSTING IN THIS THREAD.
you have made your point. i dont know why its so important to you that people you dont know think you are strong. train, eat, and enjoy it. you’re stressin out over nothing and quite honestly, with your form and that weight you are asking for an injury. and for what? to prove people wrong? stop posting your weight. stop posting pics. stop posting numbers.
head over to the beginners forum and ask for some advice on the things that you need help with, do it graciously and humbly. learn lots. there are a lot of great posters here, some of whom you have already alienated, that would love to help you. its what they do.
How is it biomechanically impossible for you to back squat to even parallel. Are you a fucking alien? Anyone can go to parallel we actually are biomechanically made to sit in ATG postion (aka look at babies.) Just cause your fat ass is inflexible as my grandma doesn’t mean your “biomechanically” not fit to squat.

Now now, lets just shut up and look at the nipples in your avatar.

I can’t squat 400 ATG, i’m at 315 atg for 5 reps. Something you prolly can’t do. But I could care less about posting a video for people on the internet.
