Anyone W.O. in Omaha?

I am moving to Omaha from Milwaukee and will need a gym. I can’t find anything online other than the usual commercial gyms (YMCA, 24hr Fitness, etc…). Any thoughts or advice from Omaha residents, or a good link/database for hardcore gyms across the country?

Big Iron isin Omaha and down in Lincoln; Omaha is pretty short on truly hardcore gyms. I work out at Gold’s on 108th and Maple in the north central part of the city.
We’ve lately had a pretty good sized crew of O-lifters come in, and a few that do bands and chains.

Chalk is supplied by the gym, which is nice. Freeweight room is pretty large, but only two squat racks and one cage to be had. As long as you’re not chucking dumbbells around, the staff won’t hassle you.

Thanks, Crispy. I was in Omaha this past weekend for the first time, so I can picture the area for Gold’s. I’ll probably check out both Gold’s and Big Iron once I’m there for good.

There’s a Gold’s on 108th and Maple and one on 108th and Q. Both of those are pretty good. There used to be a World’s right off 120th and Maple, not sure if it’s still there. Don’t know about Big Iron, I’ve never been there.

I work out at the Golds on 108th and Q. It is a pretty good place. Some big guys there.

Big Iron gym is the only really hardcore gym I know of in Omaha.
