Yeah, that’s just because they don’t have CrossFitters there!

Oh man! I joined here for no other reason than to post on this thread! I don’t care for this place. That said, I need to get my two cents worth in! Call it insecurity, call it being an a**hole, whatever.

I think Crossfit is great! When first discovered CF I was a chubbed up ex-boxer and distance runner who had played with bodybuilding and powerlifting in my youth. After breaking my back several years earlier on the job, I had gained more than 40lbs. I tried everything! Went back to running, no luck. Swimming, no luck. Cycling, nada! Even tried a personal trainer who was a competitive BB, that was the worst, actually gained a percent of BF with that joker. Then I gave crossfit a try.

In six months I dropped 46 lbs, went from 21% BF to 16% BF and now cover at almost the same speed I did in my early 20s (I am 36). And I now train in CF and Gym Jones methods and have returned to BJJ after hanging it up after my back injury. And my performance has drastically improved.

So, I ask this of all the ‘men’ here, if CF is for women, why are so many pro and amateur MMA athletes training in CF? And why do I see so many ‘meatheads’ dropping over when they start CF? Just curious!

Oh and at 36, my USMC PFT, is 264 18 dead hangs, run is 22:15 (give or take 30 secs), and a 100 sit ups (I still do 'em the old fashion way, no crunches.)

haha, this thread is two months old, regardless if you really want a program that will cause you to “drop over” try my fitness challenge. Basically I beat you with a kendo stick until you fall over and puke. You’ll be sore for days!
