I currently workout at Golds, but would like something a bit more ‘big guy’ oriented. I’m no where close to a big guy, but I am trying to get that way.
Anyone know of any ‘hardcore’ type gyms in the Bryan/College Station area?

Gold’s is pretty much the most hardcore of the commercial chains.
I dont know any warehouse gyms in that area if thats what you mean.
Yeah man i work out out at Golds in Cstat too, theres a bunch of tools there but if you go at the right time you only get the studs and whatnot.
There used to be a gym there (15 years ago) over by the Chicken Oil Company. It was in the same shopping center as Sullivan’s Outfitters. That is where I used to lift when I was there. I have no clue if it is still there.
A&M has a pretty good powerlifting team. You might check it out as well.

I workout at the Bryan Golds, and since I go in the middle of the day, it’s not too bad.
Hey bud, I work out over at the Fitness dome near 6 and Graham.
It’s not really all that hardcore, but on the upside, you never have to wait for anything, the place is dead all the time. I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve waited for anything, and that was always the Smith machine (they’ve only got 1).
They’ve even got some tractor tires out back for tire flips. And the deadlift platform is NEVER taken. I’m sure I’m on the only guy in the gym that uses it.
Plus I like that the cardio machines are on the 2nd floor and the free weight section is twice as big as the Rec’s.
