My room-mate managed a huge gain in size his first year of training. He went from 150 to 185. I could not believe his results. He does not do any type of anabolic’s. Just good training/rest/food/supplements and advice I gave him. If I didn’t see it with my own eyes would not have believed it. We both estimate he will lose some water weight from the creatine. Around 10-15lbs. But still that is a huge gain. Although he said from partying he was under his normal weight.

Oh wow, you made ANOTHER thread dragging some lame ass bodybuilding.com thread over here, at T-Nation.
How new and refreshing of you.
Agreed.
This is getting old. Almost no one gets it right the first time.

The kid almost had it right, except when he thought he was gaining to slow he jumped up like 1200 calories instead of 200-300 lol. Poor guy.
Basically. Lol.
Honestly, it drives me nuts when people just pour it on someone when there is no proof they are any better. At least the kid is tring to better himself instead of remaining a JACKED 130 lbs like some of those guys. Negative 50 IQ points to me for reading that whole thread.

This isn’t fucking grade school, effort isn’t enough. A beginner doesn’t need the best program/diet to make progress, and this kid just got fatter. I’m thinking he didn’t try very hard.

Agreed. That is why beginners need to stop posting pictures just because they gained some weight initially. If I had posted pictures as a beginner and showed any fat gain, there are no doubt many who would have tried to convince me I was wrong and to diet immediately.
If you never find out where your limits are (including things like this) then your progress will be limited.
You don’t start out as a beginner and simply morph directly into a cover model. If you gain too much fat, you now know how many calories are too much for you right now. It doesn’t mean you fucked up for life.
that is what my before and after pics look like…
but the difference is I partied, lied on my couch eating shitty food and didnt goto a gym for 6 months…
