I have a friend that told me about his father. He said his father could control his adrenal glands, and lift massive amounts of weight by doing so. I asked him how his father did it, but he said he’s not sure, thinks he was just that in tune w/ his body (his father is deceased). Can anyone else do this or have any info on it? Any help GREATLY appreciated. I wanna fill the bar up w/ plates and deadlift it next time the local juicin teens show off on their chest/bicep day.
Sounds like a good way to get hurt. I’d rethink that.
Anyone can do this but typically it has to be in a matter of life and death…it’s the old “fight or flight” syndrome. Among athletes martial artists are very good at doing it as are some powerlifters. I think it just takes a lot of concentration and the moment has to be right…this is not something that can be repeated on a daily basis.
