i’ve been dropping weight like a madman lately and have been a bit worried that it will affect my strength. Then it hit me… what could i do to counteract the negative affects of losing bodyfat??

grow and awesome beard.

i figure the more bodyfat i lose, the longer the beard will have to be to keep getting stronger.

sounds like a very scientific and sound plan to me.

here’s where i am now…[/quote]

You’ve got to walk a fine line growing it long and thick enough to make every bench session a natural two board but not so long that it gets caught under your boot during front squats- Good luck my friend!

have you ever gotten your beard on my brotha??

as they say… the only people in the world that shouldn’t have beards are women and children… get your beard on.

I have. Unfortunately, now if I try it it’s all gray and instead of looking awesome I just look old. Remember, not all of us can bench 500 RAW or be as handsome as you with a full beard.

No shit my is coming in a little gray here and there --I am not old–just seasoned damnit!!

I will vicariously through you and your Beard of Samson!!!

Have a good Memorial Weekend.

Haha, I’m almost 29 and my beard starting getting a couple greys in it like 2 years ago. My head is slowly starting to bald too, but luckily I’ve been shaving it for years anyway, lol.

Scott, I ended up shaving my beard a while back but I did get a picture of it… I’ll have to upload it.

i just really really hate to shave. i haven’t used a razor other than my electric clippers on my face in years. i feel sorry for guys that have to get up and shave everyday.

you too my friend… i live near DC and might get out with a few guys and ride our harleys down for Rolling Thunder.

Even though you have been droppin weight you are still about 120 pds too heavy for me. I don’t even like my women with a stray facial hair. So as a guy with a beard, even though it may posess mythical powers, you’re out!!

damn… and i was about to use my “it isn’t gay unless you make eye contact” line.

You look different with the beard.

Is there an equivalent that women can do to increase the bench? I’m all ears.

You used that one a couple of pages back. It’s no wonder Joweeee started going grey in his twenties after hearing you use that line a couple of times I’m sure the poor guy had to wear a hat with fake eyeballs attached to the back of it for every squatting session with you in order to feel safe!

differnt as in… serial killer or different as in really awesome??

i guess you could grow out other areas but that may decrease other areas of performance.

just guys being guys…

highlights from today… captain morgan paid me a visit last night so i knew i would be weak as piss today. i made today a high(er) rep day with some conditioning.

worked up to 455 +140lbs chain, then did 315x10, 365x10 and 415x10

finished with prowler push until the captain left my body.

when the captain gets a firm hold on me, he won’t let go until i finished his bottle.

it’s weird i felt weak as a kitten today but my endurance was fine. i figured it would be the opposite.
