Anabolic Diet 2.0

I’ve just come back from a holiday where all I did was smash beers and eat crappy food.

I jumped back onto the diet, and for about 4 days now, after my morning coffee, I am defiling the toilet. Like it is huge, dark and nasty, but I’m only wiping once, which I take as a good sign, but it’s freaking me out a little.

Has anyone else had this? I’m taking in plenty metamucil and have a morning coffee (espresso + double cream), so I’m assuming my body is cleaning itself out, but I just wanted to run it by some others

Oh and finally starting to lift again after a horrible bout of medial epicondylitis. 8 months out of the gym!! I’ve got some serious weight to lose, but I CAN LIFT!! IT’S THE MOST AMAZING THING IN THE WORLD

JK what’s a typical day of eating look like for you? Number of meals? Also how much do groceries cost per week (rough)?

The typical day during the week is around 3000-4100 cal.

I wake up at 5:20 and take 2 table spoons of virgin coconut oil and 2 shots of heavy whipping cream. (I also take green tea extract, cinnamon extract, R-ALA, and Vitamin D)

I have 60g-70g of almonds at about 8am.

I pack a lunch consisting of 3-5 eggs, 1 pound of beef (steak or ground), and about a pound of ground turkey. I eat on this from 10:00 to 13:00.

I get home take a table spoon of Virgin CC oil then Train.

I have about 60g of a whey/casein mix with 5g of creatine after.

Depending on the day I check up to see where I’m at with my calorie and fat totals. Then fill the gap.

That gap is normally filled with a pound of ground beef, 6-8 eggs & cheese, or nitrate free bacon.

I take some zink, magnesium, and fish oil before bed at 21:00.

As you know I wave my calories during the week. The picture added is an example of my “wave”. The graph starts on Sunday (lowest day) and ends on Saturday. I train on MTTHF most of the time.

Grocery bills aren’t cheap. I spend around 65-85 bucks a week. Some things last a long time (i.e. cheese, coconut oil), so I don’t have to buy them every week.

On the weekends I kinda make a point of not making my own food. I enjoy eating out for my carb ups. Sushi, pastas, Mexican food, ect. I will make a gigantic muffin from time to time. Basically the whole muffin mix in a pan. Then eat it with a spoon

Cheers,
JK

Haha, had a feeling there might be a graph in that response. Thanks!

Is the cal cycling something you did on your own or something Dr Poteet recommended?

Hahaha, I love excel…

We had worked it into the cutting phase and he said it would be good to do it during the mass phase as well.

anyone else eating pork liver in their diet? just found that i can pick it up fresh for £1 a kilo - to get anything meat based cheaper, I’d have to steal it.

Damn thats a steal. Do you get it in the grocery store or a specialty shop?

Also any certain ways you like to prepare it? My chicken livers are getting pretty tough to put down lol.

Question

I ate alotttt of carbs today from my memory I ate
5 slices of meat lovers pizza
Real sugar Pepsi (bottle)
Tazo green tea
A pint of Ben and Jerry’s
Bowl of rice krispies and capt crunch
Bannana
And some powered doughnuts

Thus comes out to be about 400 carbs maybe even 500g

Does this been I should go back on high fat high protein tomarrow?
Or just eat 300g of clean complex carbs from tomarrow morning to tomarrow night?
Also how much fat and protein should be eating on my carb loads? 150ish for each?
Last question , when will I know my body is back on “ketosis”?

1 I would.
2 I wouldnt.
3 Depends how easily you put on weight and what your goals are. Same goes for first 2 questions.
4 You won’t. You just have to stick to the diet and you’ll be fine.
5 It sounds like english isnt your first language which certainly makes researching these things much more difficult but if you read this thread it should answer most of your questions.

What does everyone mean by “stop when you start to smooth out”?

Sorry for all these questions but is it fine if I have my carb up on Friday right after my work-out? I train fasted since I’m also doing IF(I might drop that in place of this diet) but anyways whould it be better if I do my carb loads on sat/sun instead?

You can do your carb loads on wednesday if you like. They day doesnt really matter, just keep it the same day every week. Or if you are doing 2 days of carbs do the same. Its your choice when. I like starting my carb up post work out too.

Nothing wrong with questions. This thread’s purpose it to answer questions and share experiences.

I Carb Load from mid afternoon Friday to the end of Saturday. I lift generally on both days.

do you guys get headaches the morning after your carb ups? i do 2-3 AD days then carbup and always get a headache the next morning! im thinking its either dehydration or low blood sugar from all the high GI carbs.
