Am I Eating The Right Stuff Yet?

I would like some tips or comments on my diet, if you would be so kind…

I am 34, 5’10", 250lbs, BF=35%

I am trying to lose fat while maintaining what muscles I have.

I take in about 250g protein, ~100g good fats, and keep my carbs down to a minimum, except on days I lift.

I recently reduced my intake of liquid proteins to only PWO, opting for slow proteins during the rest of the day.

Please look at my FitDay link and tell me if anything glaringly wrong is there. I appreciate your constructive criticisms…

Thanks for the response, Phill. I checked to be sure of no HFCS and whatnot, but you are right. I am switching to the Natural stuff after it’s gone. The ingredients read: Roasted Peanuts, Peanut Oil, Partially Hydrogenated (yikes) Cottonseed and Rapeseed Oils (rapeseed?!), Salt and Sucralose.

You know, after typing that out…I think I’m going to make a quick trip to the grocery store!

Thanks again, Phill.

Rapeseed is the general family of plants that Canola oil comes from. According to wikipedia, the word Canola originally comes from ‘CANadian Oilseed, Low-Acid’.

No prob brio and if you have a food processor do your self a favor save some cash buy a BIG bag of peanuts. I usually get the HUGE spanish peanuts from walmart that are raw and bake them a few. Thorw them in the food processor and you have a HUGE batch of natural PB for like $3. you can toss in mixed nuts etc as well.

Good call, I wish I’d thought of that myself, I’d have saved a small fortune by now.

Phil,

You are a genius. Thanks for the idea. I’ve been using Smuckers Natural and it adds up financially.

Do you add anything else to the blender? Or just the Peanuts?

Thanks

Ha well I usually use Peanuts, walnuts and almonds the peanuts over whelm it and it still tatse like PB. Other than that I do add salt personal preference, and just started adding a concentrated stevia and sucralose product that has no fillers etc to sweeten it.

Other than that its just nuts ive done it that way many times just turn that sucker on and walk away you can make it anywhere from creamy (long time) or chunky. I personally make it creamy really let it mix a LOT.

Oh and Im using a food processor not a blender. I imagine if you had one of those BAD ass blenders a warring or a VitaMix it would work but I dont think evenm my expensive kitchen aid would handle a big batch.
