Valiant effort you old bastard!
If it is any consolation, you should look around and realize that 90% of old bastards like you couldn’t even come close to playing ![]()

Thanks! I CAN look at it that way can’t I?
Damn I wish our highschool had an alumni game, I’d love to get in on some of that action…so consider yourself lucky to have the opportunity, we’re expecting nothing less than 100 yards and two touchdowns you old bastard =)
My brother-in-law just played in his alumni football game…and left with a complete tear of his achilles tendon. He just had surgery last Thursday, and will be laid up for quite a while.
Watch out for Spencer Havner, the All-American linebacker from UCLA.
When you score a touchdown are you going to point at the guy you stiff-armed and scored on?

Spencer went to NU. A lot more guys get picked up from NU lately, they have a full ride lineman going to Stanford next year. NU is also playing for the title game next week.
The point is mandatory, but it happens after a field goal…since I’m going to try and stay out of full action due to my aged and experience lower back.

We simply got our asses handed to us lat Saturday.
Here is the press coverage. We definately sucked.
Rockscar, how sore were you after playing 4 quarters? Did you screw up anything (muscle or joint wise) ? I admire the fact that you jumped in and played, and I am jealous that I have not had such an opportunity. I’m guessing that you were able to hit a lot harder than when you were younger and that you had a lot more confidence, if not wind. I hope you escaped without any major injuries.
Actually, I would not say I played a full 4. I mostly was special teams and in and out on offense and defense.
I can hit harder yes, but my legs keep tripping up at full speed. I have not trained my legs for endurance and sprinting, so I was ahead of my self a few times and landed on my stomach.
Also I have a bad back so I tend to avoid selling out all the time.
I felt fine. My legs had some bruises, but that’s about it.
