Good afternoon from Ohio! I’m a bodybuilding newbie but I have always been inspired to take it up and match my inner beast with a good outside look. Feel good, flex good, and just enjoy the skills it takes to build, bulk, cut and maintain…
I’ve started picking it up in November of 2022, working on tracking those calories, bulked with a 3,000 and I feel like I’m gaining too much fat so I’m back down to 2500 calories. Hopefully I bulk and don’t loose the muscle mass gains I’ve gotten so far.
I train 3 times a week using progressive overload and man some days are easier than others. I could use all your tips, tricks, and love. I’m a newbie but I know it’s going to take a while and building properly requires patience and consistency!
Anyway, I’m also a entrepreneur, media guru, divinely inspired daily, and more… so let’s get some coffee, exchange tips, maybe even prevent a 75lb dumbbell from hitting my chest due to bad form .
6’5, was 214. When I weigh and take new photos today, I’ll report the new weight. I’m trying to bulk, I’ve been using the beastly app thing and following a beginners full body workout with progressive overload. Bulking.
Long term, look like Thor, seriously. Want to look good, be healthy, take care of myself and feel good in my skin. Bodybuilder type or physique type for sure. Strength + looks + health.
I have a 1090 calorie smoothie in the morning - 2 scopes of isoPure Surge, 25g, a banana, cup of oats, some zinc/vitamin c/d/k, raspberries, strawberries and just water. Then 2 bean burritos from Taco Bell - cheap and I can disappear from the office for 10 min ! Then a cup of rice and 2 cans of tuna. When I workout I’ll drop the rice in pace for 2 scopes of another kind of protein (name escapes me) but it’s 25g each.
Here are a before, after (before I cut the calories down to 2500 - I’ll need to get a new one after I gym today) and a screenshot of today’s meal plan. Give it take an unrecorded coffee with creamer.
I can’t attach media right now, so very new, so maybe I’ll be able to later on in the week!
Thanks my friend. I’ve been grinding 5 days a week for 25 years. No tricks just stick with it and remember progress comes in years not weeks. Newbie gains only last a few months and then it’s a slow grind. Make it a lifestyle and enjoy the ride.
