Anderson Silva
Fedor
Randy Couture
Bas Rutten
GSP
Big Nog
BJ Penn
Takanori Gomi
Frank Shammrock
10.Matt Hughes
What do you think?

Chuck and Wand don’t break the top ten? Randy is at no.3 for beating Gonzaga and Sylvia? No Saku as someone mentioned!?! Gomi and BJ are ahead of Hughes? Fedor being at no.2? Bas went something like 20-0-1 before he retired so I could possibly see him being top 7, but I don’t think Frank belongs on this list.
Did I mention you were crazy for putting Randy ahead of Nog? Nog hasn’t been stopped in 40 fights and Randy has been stopped 8 times in 24 fights. Nog went the distance with Fedor twice, has beaten Big Timmy, Heath Herring x3, Werdum, Barnett (his other fight with Barnett was S.D. loss), Overeem, Coleman, and my man Pawel Nastula haha. Maybe the Randy nuthugging will end when he gets murdered by Fedor in the 1st round.
Okay, wait. Where is Urijah Faber? This guy has crushed every single person who walked in his way and he’s not on a top 10 list? The kid has had 14 title defenses and looks like he’s in the best shape of his life. He kicked ass in a 14 v. 1 street fight! (http://www. youtube. com/watch?v=rOQLg7Kc8So) If he fought his one loss, Tyson Griffin, now, he would roll through him. He is dominant.
Also, I don’t agree with Gomi and Shamrock on the original list and I thought Matt Hughes, the most dominant champion in UFC history, should have been a little higher. But honestly all of this is just from the sport perspective. If I was looking at this in the way of, who could kick the most ass if he needed to kind of way, on the street defending his life, while utilizing MMA, here is my list:

Fedor without a doubt.
The guy is a freakin monster and he’s the only person in contention who’s never been legitimately beaten.
Absolutely, no one has seriously challenged him. His power is the stuff of legend and after this last showing he has to be considered #1 PFP.

After the events of the past 24 hours, Fedor should be on the top of everyone’s list. There is NO ONE else in ANY SPORT that has ever been as dominant as Fedor is in MMA. The closest I can come up with are guys like Tiger Woods and Michale Schumacher.
Alexander Karelin
Oooh, good one. Karelin was an absolute monster. He pretty much won every wrestling match he was in before the match ever got started, just on intimidation.
I’d definitely agree though that after this past weekend’s events, anyone who doesn’t have Fedor at the top of their list just has no grip on reality. Anderson Silva is incredible, and I honestly think he could take the LHW belt along with the MW belt if he wanted to. But even he has been legitimately beaten twice.
Same goes for BJ and Saku, both great fighters who have fought above their natural weight class and had/have great potential. But they were both beaten (at the higher weight class and the lighter weight classes).
I absolutely love Fedor!
When you see him enter the ring or cage, he does not seem fucked up or worried…
He keeps his cool and does not worry, he does his thing and he takes him victory…
I just love him!
I also like Randy Couture because of his form, at 44 years or what is it now he still has great for and fight in him.
Bas Rutten I also like but in a lesser extent, I recently had a seminar with him and he did show us some nice things and shared some wisdoms with us.
Too hard to decide… except for my absolute #1 being Fedor

He was beat by Rulon Gardner in 2000. Granted that was a pretty damn impressive streak. Those Russians are brutal.
Fedor has been challenged in that past by Fujita. Even if you consider it a lucky punch, he was hurt, and he came back and won in awe striking fashion. Add that to the check list of Fedor’s accomplishments and reasons for being the top figher. Even when stunned he is dangerous.
Secondly, Sakuraba is absolutely top 5/ top 3 material. When speaking on the evolution of the sport, then he must be consider, because he was on of those fighters you could watch adapt every fight, and come out with new knowledge to implement into his game. Not mentioning him, is practically blasphemy.

But Tiger hasn’t won every major since he turned pro, Schummy didn’t won every F1 race he ever qualified for.
This is crazy. I don’t know about you guys, but I’m going to be telling my fucking grandkids that I lived in the time of Fedor.
Fedor does not come close to Tiger. He has won 13 majors, is unbreakable in clutch situations, and, excluding brief stints by Vijay Singh and Ernie Els, he has been the number one ranked player in golf for the past ten years. He has simply dominated from day one. In his second year as a professional, he shot 18-under par to win the Masters and was ranked number two in the world. The dude played like shit at the Masters and still took second. Just won another major with a broken leg. Tiger is more dominant than Fedor today, and than anyone ever. (But God do I love Fedor)

I said that perhaps a little too definitively, but honestly I don’t see how Griffin could keep up now. I’m very unimpressed by his last two showing against Aurelio and Tibau, and Guida gave him such a run for his money. Faber looked so stacked in the last fight, just pure muscle, and his technique was right on. Either way, love to see it go down.
You have to beat top guys to be considered a top-tier fighter. Urijah Faber is great and he can only fight who is put in front of him, but he hasn’t fought the same level of competition as the other fighters that have been mentioned. I think Griffin and Edgar would both beat Faber right now, and they aren’t even top 5 fighters.

Without even addressing the issue that golf is at best a skill, and not a sport, Michael Jordan was more dominant at bball than tiger at golf.
Furthermore, both of them have lost. With fedor (and to a lesser extent anderson,) we are now asking ourselves, moreso than ever, is it even POSSIBLE for anyone to beat him? I’m not saying Fedor is more dominant than anyone at anything ever, but i just really disagree with the tiger analogy
Well first of all, golf is a sport whether you like it or not.
Secondly, Michael isn’t even the most dominant basketball player of all time, Bill Russell is. Michael started winning too late, it wasn’t until his 7th season that he made the finals. How do you compare this to Tiger who wins the Masters in his second year? Tiger is light years away from all his opponents, and I see Michael, though still dominant, as closer to his.
Besides, no one said Fedor is to MMA what Tiger is to golf, he said Fedor is more dominant than Tiger and I said it was the opposite.

GSP? this isn’t a “right now” list it’s of all time. The guy just got the title again, how is he above Matt Hughes? The man is 43-7 and the most dominant UFC champ of all time and he sits around 9 or 10 on everyone’s list. Can’t believe it.
And for the record, I believe GSP will eventually be in the top 5 because he is currently the third best fighter IMO.
