Well, unanimous agreement must count for something!

I agree with all above. If “looking better nekkid” and staying relatively lean is still a secondary concern, as I’m sure you know, diet is going to be one of the biggest factors, and you seem to already have a handle on that. People can talk all the mess they want about how you should train and what you should eat, but at the end of the day you have to use, to a certain extent, intuition with your training and integrity with your diet. Don’t let anyone trying to tell you what to do distract you from what you want to achieve. Their goals and ideals are not yours. For what its worth, I think you’re doing everything right to achieve the goals you have set for yourself.

5 miles on bike, level 15, 33:35.
(feh. should get my time down.)

food: 1270 kcal, p/f/c 136.2/44.4/47.4

Back up to 138.6.

Fuck. What gives? I’m exercising and I’m really not eating very much.

This is going to be a repeat of last year, isn’t it? Where I’m an eager beaver, cut cals about as low as they can go, and then still don’t lose weight.

Damn damn damn why don’t you like me, Body?

I’m going to beat you with your scale if you don’t stop acting like a Figure Athlete.

Are you weighing yourself at the same time and under the circumstances each time you do it? I like early AM post excrement. ok i lie when i still had a scale i’d weigh myself upon waking and then upon excrement, just to see how much i got rid of.

My best advice is to keep the weigh-ins to once a week or longer. if what you see in the mirror stays the same or looks better, chalk the extra ounces up to muscle.

well, unlike the FA girls, I can hit you back!

yes, in the morning.
I can’t poop every morning.

The mirror looks just fine, actually.

being willing, and able, are two different things. I just hope we never really have to find out.

for your sake…

actually one of these days I really would like to learn to hit people (or punching bags.) As one of those “real-life skills” you can feel good about, like swimming or sewing. At the moment I think I’m probably clumsy enough that I’d just plain miss.

dude. fuckin eat more. asap.

This is not the correct way to cut.

ohkay, Bobbi, what do you do?

I’m not trying to be a moron here; I’ve just never been able to make this work properly.

you need to hit the bbing forum, read the stickies…i can’t link to competitor’s site…send me a PM if you want some reading material

FWIW, when I was dieting, I only hit the gym a few times a week for maintainence…zero cardio…the diet takes care of the rest…

tis why, trying to cut and get stronger sometimes dont mix. Hope Bobbi was able to share some useful stuff…

Hey Bobbi- Id like some insight…I love reading!

Um, your diet was crazy hard, Mim.

I don’t know how serious you are about it…the stuff I sent you is kind of complicated.

There’s the detailed, get-lean-or-die way and the easier, my-expectations-aren’t-as-high way. haha
