nice dl pr and great pullups! how’d u get so many on the last set?

i really love ur fat consumption. i think a few more carbs on a workout day would be put to good use.

Does the dip below 2000 negate the bet you two have going? Not that I care, I just wanna keep up. Im so glad to see you eating more, Alisa.

Taleenah, you shut the door when you came over, right?

Oh, I failed more drastically before – i had a 1400 day. I’m not sure what I owe her if she decides to get persnickety.
You know what? I’ll have another scoop of protein and make it 2000 even.

600 calories. =+D

So, all the calories I miss this month I have to add up and bake into a batch of cookies to send you?
That seems fair.

no no no!!! Not an excuse!

You have to bake them up in cookies to eat for yourself.

And send an equal number to each of the rest of us.

actually, if you’d total up at the end of each week it’d be a more consistent refeed for me i mean you.

Alisa, it looks like you are quickly getting back to great numbers on your DL after stepping back to learn the form. Very impressive.

You don’t know how jealous the words “PL practice” make me. How fun would that be…

i guess i have permission to hang around? Cbear- i gotta tell you- you have had me cracking up over there…it took me this long (7 months-yeah…pathetic perhaps) to digest the whole site over there. the insurgence of ignorant lame asses is really getting to me. people like you, irie, molly and a few others keep me around to see if any of your alls sound training advice could help me. i do have a couple friends there so i may not shut the door completely- but i’m definitely looking to join in with you gals here.

sorry to hijack alisa-but your journal and the others in PW has gotten my attention. perhaps i should introduce myself…not in the middle of your journal though…

Oh, no problem.
I used to hang out at FA sometimes too, but I found the hysteria kind of uncomfortable, and I was training differently. You’re welcome as far as I’m concerned, but then I’m all sweetness and light – you’ll have to check with CBear.

Yes, I’m lucky that I’m around other lifters. It’s awesome, and thanks to all who talked me into it. I’ve been made to feel welcome despite putting up dinky weights.

No such thing as “dinky weights”, unless you’re not working hard enough. You push, pull or squat whatever it takes to cause the intended reaction. What that weight is for you is all that matters.

Great job on your PRs!

thank you! yep- no such thing as dinky weights…unless you intentionally pick up little ones and tell me you want to tone up…then i want to slap people.

there are many levels of hysteria over there…i’m doing a lot of catch up reading here to see what the ladies here are up to…(aside from the obvious…kicking ass in the gym!) i never started a journal over there and maybe i will do so now, as i have some very set goals in mind of the next several months.

silent head nod and beckoning hand wave

The hysteria’s because they’re all on diets. It’s more fun here because everyone’s happier just to eat, screw and lift big weights. My kinda place.

suuuuweeeet! i’m in…

 now don’t count me as a lame cuz i’m all excited cbear gave the wave in…i’m happy to see cal jones here as well…always liked your posts and where you were coming from. and i’m sure i will recognize a few others as i begin to shift my time over here.

guess this means i better put up or shut up. i will post a thread (to stop hijacking alisa’s) about my specifics (goals, plans, questions).

thanks all-i have to tell ya, i was pumped when i headed in this am for my leg routine knowing i finally could read some shit about serious lifting and not the recap of what ridiculous eating ‘plan’ someone fucked up on for the day.

and in response to cbear’s welcome song…here’s one of my favs…

RULES: (that I just made up. they may or may not be real.)

  1. keep it up. dont act like you’re dedicated, just to puss out later. we understand life happens, but make an effort.

  2. no character assassinations. they’re just childish, really.

  3. Excel in strength, humor, sex drive, occupational skill, inappropriateness, intelligence, or general amiable fucktardness. (or, pick just one and do it with STYLE)

EDIT: 4) Flirt and criticize, to degrees that make you, and the other person, feel ()<-- this close to uncomfortable.

now apologize to alisa, smack her on the ass, and go think up a clever tittie i mean title for your log.

food: 2142 kcal, p/f/c 190.1/93.6/107.8

I just saw the movie that makes your avatar make sense, CBear. You are now my hero.

we were somewhere near Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold…

It will get better each of the next 30 times you watch it.

kindly accept my apologies for the intrusion alisa…smack

now…i better get busy and think of something clever…
or at least half-interesting.

i am jotting those rules down to keep for future reference…i may have already f’d up…

Well, I loved the book. I thought it would be unfilmable. I was so, so wrong.

Lifting with the guys.
squat: 5@95, 5@115, 5@115, 8@95, 8@85, 8@85
apparently I wasn’t hitting depth on the 115’s. This was without a box, so I had to guess. Also I need to keep my chest up.
bench: 10@65, 5@95, 1@105, 5@95
failed at the 105. apologized like a gibbering idiot.
I don’t like all the waiting around at these big practices – we’re short on time, so I can’t do as many warmup sets. I could have done more work. Luckily we’re going to split up – I still have to get in touch with the girl – so it’ll be more efficient.
I appreciate the form help, so that’s good, but my squat has GOT to move one of these days or the embarrassment is going to kill me. At this point I think I actually am a bit stronger than habit & flexibility will permit. Next time I’ll go in and squat REAL 115 and hopefully REAL 125.
