I dont see how gaining weight is a problem for people. Dont get me wrong gaining muscle is hard, Gaining weight is not. But your definatley not gonna gain much of any muscle without gaining weight.
They are already eating enough to maintain weight so how hard is it to put down 2cups of milk some honey and a big spoon of peanut butter before bed?
Here we go…
I already eat before I go to bed tho
two cups of milk mixed with honey and some peanut butter would in no way fill you up and it would help your sleep.
Fat and carbs before bad will make you gain to much fat.
Worry about this when your fat, it will make you gain weight and it will help you put on muscle.
Im just looking for lean mass gains
To bad, the way your doing things now isnt working to well.
I was fat as a kid and dont want to gain fat
I was annoyed as a kid and dont want to help you.
Can I do cardio to keep the fat gain down?
No you need to put on muscle wait until you are actualy ganing a decent amount of weight.
Case and point you will make great gains if you do what you have to. If you want to do things your way dont come here and say “but Im trying realy realy hard” There is no trying when it comes to eating enough and that is your problem.
Advice, dont pick a 3x8 or 5x5 program. Do a couple easy warmup setts and rep out with heavy weight and raise that weight as often as posible after that heavy set do a few more sets to finnish off that excercise and then do that with about 4 excercises per bodypart.

Put a lot better than I could. I wish people were telling me to eat more to reach my goals. I never understood kids arguing about it. Maybe its the old fat kid still inside me, but eating is one of the best parts of getting bigger, if you have a fast metabolism and find it hard to gain, that gives so much freedom to the diet, it would be so nice.
On a side note a 155lb benchpress @ 115lbs is only going to make it easier for you to push up off the ground after you get killed on a play. Joking with ya a bit, but seriously you want to be good at football you need to have strong legs. You should focus on your squats and deadlifts and getting FAST.
Rarely in the game of football do you use your standard bench press ROM. A more realistic exercise is close grips on a slight incline, no matter what your position on the field (unless your a kicker or qb) you will have to block and/or shed a block. This will help you get in on the guy and be able to press him.
You sound like you have a good attitude, take the advice here from the thread and eat. Wish you the best of luck with fball too bro.
