I liked doing 3/5/1 on the original template. Just wondering if anyone had tried doing the advanced template this way.

I’m sure he has since that’s how he already has things set up.
OP, if you think that kind of wave is better for what you want to do I don’t see why it wouldn’t work fine. It’s an identical amount of work over the three-week period.
I think with any “advanced” method, you have to assume what’s written on paper takes a back seat to the advanced lifter’s instincts and preferences.
