Adjusting for Missed Workouts?

Hey gents,

I’m currently on my third cycle of 5/3/1 BBB and am really enjoying the workouts as well as seeing some great progress already - unfortunately I got sick a few days ago which forced me to miss my “5’s” session for bench, and squat. I train Press on Monday, Deadlift on Tuesday, Bench on Thursday, and Squat on Friday.

The question is, when I return to the barbell (hopefully on Monday), should I pick up where I was forced to leave it, complete the week by benching on Monday, and Squatting on Tuesday and then progressing from there? Or should I just repeat the whole week of “5’s”?

Thanks!

Do the week over. There is no downside to this. You get the proper work in and do it correctly.

Great, I will do that. Thanks, Jim!

Totally off topic, I saw in an interview of you that you studied English in college, you made the comment “I read a lot of Shakespeare,” so which one is your favorite?

Don’t know if I would have a favorite - I had 2 professors that were terrific and made reading Shakespeare and others easier. They brought them to life. One was in my major, the other taught different Humanties courses. The point being: I didn’t exactly enjoy Shakespeare but I’m lucky I had teachers that made it better.
