I am interested in achieving the grecian ideal, but is it possible to have that with a bmi of 25?

I’m assuming you’re concerned with keeping a BMI in the “normal” range, and you shouldn’t be. BMI is just a shortcut for average people to determine if their weight is healthy. It’s useless for people with muscle.
Eugene Sandow, who achieved the Grecian ideal, had a BMI of 29-30.
I was I asking because I saw a sudy online that said a bmi of 25 is ideal for longevity.
I don’t think anyone with any real knowledge, or experience in the physique development realm (or athletic performance for that matter) gives any credence to the notion of BMI in the first place. If you truly want to develop to your proposed ‘ideal’, I can tell you that your upper arm, calves, and neck measurements will need to be the same. I’m not certain about waist to chest girth, but obviously they shouldn’t be even close to similar.

wow, really? wow
A bmi of 25? You might be able to achieve the grecian ideal physique of a marathon runner with that… But it’s still a grecian ideal, so go for it lol

It’s easily achievable.
However, first things first.
Start with this.
it doesn’t hurt to ask.

According to Steve Reeves, you’d want a 20-24 inch difference between them.

The BMI has zippo to do with anyone who’s ever touched a weight. Increasing your lean muscle mass, while decreasing your relative bodyfat, will be much more “ideal for longevity”, as well as increasing quality of life - muscles make people happy.

My brother-in-law has to pay extra for his health insurance because he’s borderline obese…at 6’1, 220 lbs, and 8-10% bodyfat (not sure exactly - he’s never held up a shoe for me). BMI’s a crock.
As for the Grecian ideal, I agree that you should look into the Grecian formula.

Whuh?! BMI was “developed” as a tool to look at statistics within large groups of people (demographics, etc)… who the hell would use BMI as a measurement of something in a single person, for something with financial consequences?!
Bodybuilding Mass Index == what you tell people online - 20%

To be fair, you’d have to almost be super saiyan, or at least use kaoiken, to get over 9000!!!
