Abused Bulldog: Just a grumpy SOB

Mean and aggressive is good when it comes to training.

thought for a minute that you were sayin’ that to snapper…

but then the picture showed up

11/1/2010
Bench, Heavy Tri ,upper Back

Warm up : S.O.S

Bench: Bar X 20
95 X 10
150 X 5
185 X 5
225 x 3
245 x 5
280 X 5
315 X 5…did 6 didnt push it

Flat DB presses: 100 X 10 / 10 X 6 / 100 X 6 …Rusty as hell at these . they where all over the place

Close grip Bench (index finger on smooth) : 225 x 3 / 225 X 5 / 225 X 5… Tris where feeling the extra volume.

Bent over rows : 4 X 10 X 225…didnt go heavy today .

Alright ,I was going to go balls to the walls. But common sence prevailed. considering its been a few weeks since ive had a full blown training session. Plus my body was asking me what the hell is up with the extra volume. Ive got a feeling its going to take a few weeks to adjust to it.

LOL. Yeah without the picture. The caption could be taken out of context.

At any rate got my GPP in for the month going Trick or treat with the youngest last night.

Oh if anyone interested, I have a eleven and twelve year old im getting ready to give away for free. Or im going to go to the local Vet supply store and shoot myself full of hoarse tranqlizers.

I’d take em both, but my 14 year old daughter would never forgive me.

No it would be you never forgiving yourself. They are Hell spawns. Think of the “Omen” but with two “Damions”

I may of not went balls to the walls yesterday. But the added voulme fryed me. My freaking Pecs and Tricepts are telling me to go to hell today.

Now hold on. I said im playing around wit the idea of doing a Bench only Meet in gear. And even then it will be single ply with a cheap low end shirt. I have no intenetion of doing a full Meet in gear.
That’s how it starts. One little puff on a single ply shirt, next thing you know you are wearing a triple-ply canvas squat suit first thing every morning just to stop your hands from shaking. :)
I missed this entire dialogue. Bench only meets in a shirt is like saying you won’t inhale. You’ll suck it in and love it!

You might not like it at all actually but you should try it out to see if you do. Like I’ve said a couple of times, they are somewhat different sports with their own challenges. It doesn’t have to be all or nothing. I’m sure you read in my log about Sensgirl who is kicking ass in gear and raw.

Try it out and see what you think.

Hmmm, it was about a year and a half ago I got a really loose low end shirt and did a meet in it. No, it was not a gateway drug at all. I don’t jump for joy every time an Inzer or Titan or Elite box is waiting for me after work. I am not addicted. I can stop any time…

If you are gonna BOF a geared meet, don’t go too cheap end on the single ply. Fury or F6 it… you will be happy.
And I don’t have an entire wall of my garage devoted to various wraps, belts, shirts and suits. I also haven’t learned to alter my own gear. I’m not addicted and can stop whenever I want.

part 3

There are four more videos to the series.

BTW Mike Tuchscherer is a beast

He is a beast. A young one. By coincidence, I have been watching his Youtube vids this past week. Stumbled on them by accident and kinda went “what the hell is this?”

I have notice there are a few powerlifters that are doing the “Bi” thing. One that stands out to me is 198 lbs Ryan Celli.

Love that line!!!

Great training BD. My lower half is tight as hell. Just something that comes with age and a sit down job. Pre-workout stretching seems to make me feel worse. I just do some dynamic stuff.
