Well i weighed myself this morning 241.8 . I will cut my food and water intake off at around 8:00 pm tonight. This should drop me to 235 by Friday night. To be honest ive gone really low on the carbs the past few days to drop some water weight. Its seems ive flatten out just hair. As mention by " Damutt" above. Not to mention that im getting a little scadered brain at this point.
Tommorrow will be a definite huge eating session after weigh ins. One for the agess if I may add. Well ive packed up my stuff I need for the Meet in the old gym bag.I will be honest , the next Meet im not going ti mess with dropping weight to make a weight class.Why ? Because , food and I are friends.
Why 235? Isn’t it 242? Just to be safe? 24 hours weigh in? Man I wish USAPL was 24 hour weigh in.
I’m full of questions this morning. Don’t worry about answering them, just go kick some ass.
I was confused about the weight cut, too. It’s definitely 242. Hmmm . . . Don’t some USAPL meets have weigh-ins the night before? Not that I’ve ever experienced that. It does seem the more humane way to handle things.

Yep ,just to play it safe and come in a little lighter. Funny thing is ill ballon up 10 pounds by Saturday morning. Plus we only have a 12 hour window before weigh ins.

Far as I know usapl meets dont tend to have early weigh ins. I dont know if the Fed stance or up to individual Meet directers. To be honest cutting weight hasnt been that bad.

The Meet Report
well, I know a few of you out of there is woundering how things went. Heres a blow by blow of how things went.
We left Friday afternoon after are boys got out of school. It took us 3 1/2 hours to get down there because we ran into a traffic accident on the way down which had traffic backed up. To make things even funner both boys where at each other throats half the time.
I ended up weighing in at 238 Friday night. Not to bad since I was at a all time heavist of 263 just a little over two month ago.To be honest I WILL NOT!!! Do another 24 hour faste again.I ended up paying for it Saturday.
We ended up getting pizza that night. I ate around 5 pices, drank 2 quarts of Gator Aid ate half a bag of trail mix and a sniker bar.Yeah ,I know, quality nutrition.I was just worried about getting calories and fluids back in me. I was feeling like shit. I ended up not sleeping worth a damn. It wasnt so much nerves just that I dont sleep well on hotel beda.
We started lifting at around 10:15 Saturday morning. The only snag was that there light tree wasnt working right. I must be carring some bad mojo since the last Meet I took the Damutt too there lights where messed up also.
Got a unplesent surprise. i ve mentioned before I sufer from Meet jitters, bad. I found out that they were Web casting the Meet! No pressure there.
Squats:
attempt 1 : 474 ( converted over from kilos) …got it no problem ,but was warned it was close due to depth. I was using my oldest son to call depth and not the wife.I ended up paying for it the next attempt.
Attempt 2 : 502 …no good called for depth
Attempt 3 : 502…no good , hit depth but lost it when I lost tightness and the bar pitch foward.
I have to say this was the slowest moving Meet ive ever been too. My wife mentioned it to me several times. I was having a hard time nailing my warm ups.
Bench
Going into the bench I was starting to feel the fallout from my dumd ass fasteing plus lack of sleep.All in all I was running out of steam. At any rate things just wasnt clicking. I put my pride aside and played it safe and dropped my oppenner by 20 pounds.
Opeener: 347…got it
attempt 2: 375…got it all white
Attempt 3 : 402…no good, I cant complain. I brought the bar down with control which has been a major issue .BUT…my right lat cramped bigger then HELL!!! On the press command.
Like I said before the Meet stretched almost 7 hours.Longest one Ive been to for no more lifters then there was. So when Deads came up I was tired, hungrey and just over all just mentally drainned.
Deads
Opeener : 502…got it no problem…This went up easy. But to be honest after this I was done mentaly.
Attempt 2 : 535 … wasnt going to go I was done not physically but mentaly on my part sad to say.
Attempt 3 : 535…same thing.
Well that was it. I would not say it was a bust for me.But I sure as hell didnt get the numbers I was gunning for. I will be honsest. In retrospect deep down I know I didnt put 100 % of myself leading into this Meet. . My wife asked me after the Meet what my problem was.As she put it “I acted like I didnt give a shit” That I had "zero intensity ".After looking at the Video shes right.There was no intensity on my part other lifters where putting it on the line and I was just going through the motions.All in all im more ashame of my lack of effert more so then on the numbers I put up.
