good day. got in a nice 8 hour work day and got off work in time to see the last quarter of the first playoff game.
then lounged at the “exinlaws” (hahaha i don’t know what to call them anymore) house and had some SUPER AWESOME carne asada tacos. the mexican market up the street changed their meat source recently and the new stuff is divine. and the inlaws have a traeger smoker so it comes out freakin great.
anyways lunch was a hamburger patty, an egg, and some veggies. dinner was 3 carne asada tacos with avocado and onions and sour cream and a bunch more meat on the side. i had two beers during the second game. it was perfect. felt like i totally got to “indulge” but was able to be totally moderate. skipped dessert, the rice, and the big tortillas… but didn’t feel deprived in the slightest.
then i drug my ass to the gym and tackled legs on a saturday night. there was a couple people at the gym when i got there but after a few minutes i was the only soul in sight. love when that happens!

The playoff games were pretty good and I always like catching the last quarter of a game, you get all the excitement without all the other hoopla that goes with it. Great workout as usual, I believe mentally it is important to drag yourself to the gym even if you dont want too - it forces you to dig deeper and suck it up!
yeah… yesterday and today were mental hurdles… but definitely glad i made the right choice. =+)
it’s funny because yesterday when i didn’t feel like going to the gym i just glanced in your log n8tive knowing it’d light a fire under my ass. hahaha and it worked!
today was a nice, lazy day.
watched the first playoff game in bed drinking some black coffee.
then shoveled down some cottage cheese and headed to the park for a round of folf (disc golf if you’re not a montanan lol). had one beer there and then one beer at the bar while we watched the last half of the packers game. (yay!) also had a few beef nachos and a chicken strip.
hung out while everyone had a couple more beers and then headed to the gym.

got my hair cut at this awesome little salon today. took off a good 5-6 inches. much easier to throw into a ponytail for workouts now. =+)
only ate 1000 calories yesterday and then had a 20 hour fast. this afternoon was carb fest with a giant meal at a sushi place, a beer, some bread and fruit… and then the gym. now it’s time for more carbs!

Deja, I too was caught off guard by your thread title. I’m really impressed with your strength, I haven’t tried snatches but that just sounds heavy. Do you catch the DB in a full snatch or a high catch position? I’ll look forward to seeing you snatch 75lbs in the near future!

full snatch or high catch referring to how low i “squat” on the catch??? once it gets above 50 lbs i have to get decently low… but i’m sure i’m no where near the full snatch position an oly lifter would have.
i do have a snatch goal… but the thread title was mostly just to see if they’d let me have it and because i tend to talk about all kinds of glorious snatch in here. haha
i do bb hang snatches a bit too. need to get back into those. love how explosive the oly movements are… but i’m sure my form is totally subpar.
slept in this morning. was awoken by mr. sun shining through the blinds. yay for him showing his bad self.
bench day today. and laundry. besides that i’m going to rock the lazy factor. maybe get a nice long walk in if it’s not balls cold out.
