you have traveled alot, and that makes it hard to keep up!! You’ll get right on track once you have all your duck’s lined up. if it takes a lil while that’s cool too, you’ve got alot of great tools in the toolbox that aren’t gong anywhere.

thanks girls. yeah i have no doubt i’ll get nice and lean… i’m just doubting doing it by the arbitrary date i set. but it’s all good. i still have over 4 weeks to make as much progress as i can. one day at a time.

3 mile walk. way back carrying about 15 lbs of groceries. nice little hill there the last 1/3 mile or so.
then:
shoulder circuit
bb bench press: 85 x 10; 105 x 8; 115 x 8; 125 x 4, 3
bb bent row: 105 x 10; 115 x 10; 135 x 8
bb hang clean/push press: 90 x 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
plate swings: 25 x 30, 30, 30

after all of yesterday’s hang cleans and then today’s full cleans and rdls my traps are absolute TOAST.
3.5 mile walk this afternoon and then i’m going to watch roller derby practice and get a couple drinks/watch some live music in johnson city with Ebug.
I did some fs today too, but not cleaning the bar by any means.

this lifting about twice a week thing has been decent for keeping my strength from completely evaporating… but i cannot wait to get on a regular training schedule.

but i am most certainly ready for a touch of normal. although living in a hotel for a couple weeks and commuting an hour away in a rental car isn’t exactly going to be too normal i spose. lol

wasn’t really planning to do any lifting today… but figured what better way to celebrate cinco de mayo then with some low rep deadlifting. gotta take advantage of the barbell access while i have it.
workout:
bb dl: 200 x 3; 230 x 1; 250 x 1; 280 x 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1
wanted to get ten singles at 280. took a full three minute rest between each set. by the time i got to five i started to doubt that i could get the ten. especially with no chalk. but i cracked open a hefe (my spinach lol) and grabbed a couple washcloths to keep my hands from slipping so much and managed to get the last five singles no problem. 6-9 actually felt easier than the first five. the tenth was a bit rough though.
anyways… time for a shower and a walk in the sunshine!!
I hate high rep squats too, they bore me actually. I just try to keep form in check so it feels like one set of high rep squats takes foreeeeeeevvvvveeerrrr.

If you want to build up your ass try doing reverse hyper extensions and glute ham raises. Contract both of them at the top. These two lifts also blew my deadlift through the roof. Keep up the good work.
busy as hell and haven’t gotten around to grabbing up a gym yet. started the new job. freakin love it. it’ll take me a couple weeks to get settled down and find a place to live, car, furniture, dishes, etc… but i’ll definitely try to get a gym in the next couple days.
thanks for the tip irish. i’ve never had access to either… back home i emailed every gym in the area and NO-ONE had a ghr. i’ve done some of the ghetto ones with my feet under the lat pull down thing… but would love to have access to a rev hyper and ghr. one of these days!!! =+)
so zero training. but nutrition’s been ok. i’m fatter than i was when i headed east. so that’s not a good thing. lots of good days… but the bad days were pure gluttony and brewfestish.
not TOO worried about it. i’m locked down a bit now… and really my number one goal for turning thirty was a “career” job and even though i slid in near the last minute… i really think i found that.
life is good.
