Whopper my man, don’t think I’ve forgotten you or the vixen. I know I haven’t dropped an email your way in a little while, but I’ve been thinking of you, the vixen and Monday’s surgery. I got your back big man. And you know you’re both in my prayers. And remember, you can always drop me a line if you need to talk bro. I’m here the way a T-man should be. And it seems like we have a lot of other T-men and women on the forum to give you support as well. Give the vixen some love from me. Tell her Nate Dogg the Guardian Angel is by her side!
Good luck to both of you my man!
Wishes of a speedy recovery Ms Whopper. A positive attitude speeds recovery… Whopper! Read her some of the humorous articles on here from time to time as well, laughter, it is the best medicine.
In case you don’t know, there are a number of things that can be done with nutrition and supplements to help speed her recovery. Obviously enough protein and tons of water are crucial. A good multi-vitamin/multi-mineral (e.g. twinlab daily two without iron) with extra b vitamins e.g. any B-50 in addition are very important. Vitamin c 2-5+ grams/day in the form of calcium and/or magnesium ascorbates (NOT ASCORBIC ACID which it too hard on the system in high doses)is crucial. Other nutrients that will be helpful include additional zinc (e.g. 50 mg zinc picolinate for a month) to assist wound healing, glutamine at least 2 grams/day, and good fats e.g. fish oil or flax oil to help reduce inflammation. I generally advocate adding new supplements one at a time and slowly to allow the system to adjust but in yoru case time is very short.
Whopper, you and the Vixen are in my prayers. Keep a positive attitude, buddy. The next few months may be tough, but you will both come away stronger.
I missed you guys so much I could cry. I will not stop praying and thinking about your woman until she is better and you are happy. Send my Love to her.
The prayer is there, whopper…and without ANY degree of hesitation…With Prayer and a good man by her side…The Vixen is coming through it all with flying colors…

Her name is Germaine…but also answers to the Vixen, the Brat, the pain in my ass…and a host of other names!! Again guys and girls, you have no idea how much I appreciate this!! Its times like these you really put your pride aside, and reach out for everybodys help. When I told her I was putting my pride aside, she nearly fell on the floor…muttering something about “since when??” Even had me repeat myself because she didn’t believe I said it. As she is fond of saying, I an usually “Stubborn like Jackass” But it is times like these…that pride has to be set aside…and I ask for help…so thanks to every one of you!
I had a buddy who had the surgery in 7th grade. He was able to play basketball and volleyball in high school. He is now a college freshman and doing fine. When he came out of surgery he had grown 4 inches from the straighting of his spine. Good luck, and our prayers are with you.
Whopper, very sincere prayers to you and the Vixen. You will be on my prayer list.
I saw a medical documentary on a women contemplating surgery for scoliosis and she obviously had the same concerns you and your missus have but all turned out well so I’m wishing Germaine and you have the same success.
Tell her not too worry. My sister had that operation back in 1966, when she was in seventh grade. Its been 35 years (they don’t take the rods out) and she is fine. The problem is not the operation, its what happens if she doesn’t get it. Without she could become extremely disfigured as to posture or hunchbacked or even paralyzed. She is doing the right thing.
Just wanted to let you know my prayers are with you both. With all the “good vibes” heading your way, you by her side, and the obvious fortitude she must have to put up with the likes of you…
I’m certain everything will go well for her!
You’ve got a few more rootin’ for ya both. Myself and my vixen are praying. That’s life, full of things we do not care for.
My vixen and I have been happily married for almost 2 yrs. In April I broke a leg, hope to be walking the end of June. It sure has given us a chance to grow closer to God and each other. She’s been my right hand the whole time. So Whopper be there for her, the months following the surgery will either bring you closer together or farther apart, laying pride aside at times is good for anyone. God bless!

I will remember you and your Vixen in my thoughts and prayers, and I know that everything will be fine. Much love to the both of ya.
Best of luck on the surgery. I know it is easier said than done, but keep in mind that all that talk of paralysis and other complications are things that hospitals are obligated to inform you of. For example, death is a possible complication of a C-section and women are informed of it, but when do you ever hear of women dying of a C-section? It’s like when I had my knee scoped last month, I had to sign a release form saying that I understood that the procedure carried a risk of permanent nerve damage! Anyway, I don’t mean to make light of the situation. Just keep your mind on positive thoughts. Yes, things can go wrong, but worrying about it make you go through it twice. I’m pulling for you guys. Let us know how the surgery goes.
My family’s prayers are with you. She’ll be allright!!!
I wish the both of you the best of luck and to Germaine, a speedy and healthy recovery. Whopper; be strong enough for the both of you and shower her with love. Best wishes.
