EMOM 36 minutes.
First 31 rounds were 95lb, too light but I thought I would fatigue by the end. I was wrong so I did 105 for another 5 rounds.
And the 31st round was just for the video here:
I took baby around 4:30 this morning so my wife could sleep. Did this as soon as baby fell asleep, you can kinda see the bundle of blanket on the couch behind me once I pick the weight up.
Anyway I expected this to kill me, it wasn’t even close, I’m proud of that but I need to challenge myself, maybe try the whole thing at 115 and see how long before I puke?
The rest of today:
Kept the barbell on the garage floor, periodically did sets of 10 bent over rows and added weight. Don’t know how many sets or how heavy but I got some needed horizontal pulling in.
5/7/2021 PRESS
Goal was 10 sets of 6 with 100lb, almost had it last week, absolutely crushed it this week:
10 rounds
Giant set:
12 BPA, 6 PRESS 100lb, 5 PULLUPS, 90 sec rest.
Got all the reps and then some extras.
Next: drop set, pausing only to change plates and write numbers, press AMRAP, 110,105,100,95,90,85,75,65,55.
Next: Y raises on incline bench to the death.
Finally: tried Shrugs, all 280lbs that I own. 10,5.
It’s still on the bar so I’ll attempt to shrug it a few more times today.
Saturday continued:
Did a few heavy EZ bar curls.
2.1 mile jog. First mile was ROUGH compared to my typical morning jogs, curious what the time of day has to do with it.
A solid start to the day. That being said I just remembered the RX is 3 front squats so I’m not as proud as i was lol. Arbitrary i know.
Anyway before that realization I was ready to commit to 135lb. I did a couple practice rounds with it after the 30 EMOMS, heavy but doable.
I just wanna say I’m such a fan of this log, because it’s titled “boring log” and you instantly get greeted with “harden the f**k up”. You’re killing it dude.

I only learned the meaning of harden up by reading yours. We are surrounded by soft people and for many, including me, the ONLY place I see people working harder and becoming better, is here. Its inspiration.

FRONT SQUAT EMOMS
Wanted 10 doubles at 180.
On the 3rd double i… got stuck at the bottom, second rep, had to bail, again I think it was mental. Focus was off… lots of excuses… so I reduced to 165lb and continued, 7 more doubles.

Routine is destroyed right now. I was up most of the night with baby, then when I finally got him to sleep the other kids woke up. So much for my plans. Figured I can fit 8 minutes of hard work and that’s it.
Tuesday PM:

It was raining. A man was trying to finish mowing his lawn as I ran past and I thought, “he cares about his lawn as much as I care about hardening the fuck up.”
