I’m no expert, but it doesn’t look like you were following through(f’ing the bar :stuck_out_tongue: ) on that heavy set…
Or maybe it’s just the angle?

Keep it up![/quote]

you are right - I don’t think I was getting my hips through completely, probably connected with what ever happened with my back. Which seems to be OK this morning…

I’m feeling like absolute crap today, tired and beat up, half sick to my stomach. Skipping wado class today hoping to feel halfway human tomorrow to travel back east for a long weekend to visit aging/ailing parents.

I have located a handful of gyms in the boondocks of western Maryland and I’m hoping to hit the gym at least twice while there.

good luck, and good lifting

Thanks mj, I’m at the airport now having a beer (alone, I drink alone! Just mathineer) and reading everybody’s exploits. Feeling better than yesterday, but still not top notch.

“Yeah, with nobody else. And when you drink alone, you prefer to be by yourself…”

That’s one thing about my current job. No matter how bad I feel at work, I always feel orders of magnitude better when I’m anywhere else.

Found a gym courtesy of family friend.

thanks - I guess I’m kinda home. I’m visiting my parents in a house just down the road from the house where I grew up.

Training felt good today.

I’m over near Hagerstown - north-western Maryland. So almost as far as you can get and still be in Maryland…

We’re actually half way up the first mountain range in the Appalachians. I think the elevation is 6-700 feet: woohoo!

That sounds neat.

17 May
Got out to the Anytime Fitness again. Nice place with a full setup of Hammer Strength equipment.

Cycle 1 Week 2 3’s
Squat day
OH barx10 Bar x10/10 135x5/5 155x3
working sets 175x3, 200x3, 225x7

BBB squats 135 5x10

These kicked my butt today. Tried to implement suggestions from last week. Descend slowly and explode upwards, pushing out with knees, weight on heels spreading the floor. No videos, didn’t feel right about taking video at a new place allowing me to visit free of charge as a guest.

Overhead squats? I admire anyone with the coordination to pull those off. I would end up in the ER…
