A Dog's 531 Journey

Did I miss the weight class your shooting for? I’m hoping to get out these Sat and/or Sun…should be fun.

I’m in the 220 lb class and we lift Sunday afternoon starting at 1PM with weigh-in at 11am. Hope to see you there.

Second day of boarding is completed and both of us were fried after maybe 4 hours (including a lunch break). Putting together some better runs with many turns and feeling more comfortable on both toe and hell edges.

Left knee is a total red and purple bruise and my tailbone feels just “wonderful”…

totally exhausted and getting ready for smoked turkey dinner with our good friends.

Happy Thanksgiving day!

Soldog

have a great dinner , ice your knee and ass
and

TEAR IT UP AT your meet

We had a wonderful evening with friends and a smoked turkey dinner. Ate way too much and came home with leftovers, so I’ll be feeding up the next few days.

Son and I were both just to stiff, sore and bruised to go boarding again today.

Kick ass and take names in your meet on Sunday!

Sorry math - you’re a week early - but hold that thought!

mmmmmm - leftover apple pie and whipped cream…

Damnit, Dog, I can’t take the suspense!

Just back from pigging out at the local 3 Margaritas. Had an enormous Fiesta Plate (seafood in a heavy cream sauce) and 2 large Dos XX. Son had to roll me to the car. Weight when I go home is 215, much more of this and I’ll be over weight for my division…

Naw…that Mexican food will be gone first thing in the morning. No worries

I hear ya, SD. I was 204 a couple months ago, now I’m knocking on 230’s door–and its all around my midsection. I gotta stop reading articles by Dave Tate!

Mebbe I need to start adding more beer-like fluids to my diet or something.

Yep - sho’nuff Harry.

One week to go and I’ll hit my openers again either Tuesday or Wednesday this week.

Looking good, SD. Remember mexican food is also a valid recovery tool.

Damn fine work, Soldog! Those squats were nice and deep, nice pause on the bench, lookin’ good on the deads.

Umm, I wouldn’t do that. I would stick to light weights this week. 50% or something like that for form work… just saying.

And he’s the 800 pound gorilla in the room. Sounds like good advice from someone’s been there.
