A Dog's 531 Journey

those looked pretty good

I try to go as slow as possible on the way down and use as little as possible help on the way up
not easy to do

my calves are feeling it today needless to say my hams are feeling the doms.

I used to do them with front squats I liked that
I think I like them better on the days I back squat

kmc

I need to do those, unless someone wants to buy my gym a GHR…bastards wont buy me one, no matter how many times I give them the link.

Great pulling!

2nd try for the video…

You’re making some great gains. 12 reps deads are a killer.Or so I can imagine…I’ve never gone above 5 reps.

Didn’t trust your legs to step over the bar, eh?

Great pulling. As always, the last looked nearly as fast as the first.

I try to never step over the bar but right then I wasn’t sure where I was going…

The lockout of that last one was most difficult but off the floor hasn’t been a problem on 5-3-1. Interestingly enough, I’ve always failed breaking a DL off the floor when failing on a max attempt.

Damn, Dog! Great job on the deadlies!

Feeling beatup today. I think that I need to allow myself 2-3 days in between deads day and bench day but this week my schedule wouldn’t allow it. I complete the week on Tuesday and then fly east to visit my parents for 10 days. I’m also attending my 30th reunion. The first one I’ve attended, should be interesting.

SD, You gave it all you had. Great job! Enjoy your time off. Watch out for all those gals that din’t have time for you 30 years ago looking to put a notch in their panties! Don’t forget the Extenze.

That 180x2 was solid. Enjoy the deload. I love the bounce afterwards.

Another suck-ass day for a long list of whiny excuses. I believe I’m ready for a deload and it’s gonna be a 2-week long one while I travel back east.

Probably gonna go to 3 days a week when I get back and consider only trying to max reps on week 1 and week 3.

Good job. How’d the 260 feel?

Heavy - but like i could have doubled or tripled it had I not had a knife in my guts.
