A Completely Random Thread of Randomness

Actual delicacy where I’m from, I know the name let alone the dish would raise some eyebrows with my cousins over the pond

Absolutely appropriate post on Independence Day. Good riddance.

I had a buddy living in London and visited him. We had faggots and gravy with mushy peas.

Surprisingly good.

This one just occurred to me as well

I ate at Nando’s… English food is pretty blah

I’m still on the fence if this is a flex for England or the rest of the world.

I think Monty Python could have done something great with that concept.

I’m catching up with my parents via phone call right now.

The conversation is now

My dad is like “You can pull yourself up by the bootstraps in this country, America is great”

Mother is like “When has America ever been good for black people”

LOL. Not an issue at all I’m enjoying the phone call, the dynamic makes me chuckle a bit.

Shout out to weeds. They are superior in every way, but sadly unappealing to most people. Wait, there’s probably an analogy in there somewhere…

Russell Simmons, Michael Jordan, Lebron James, Daymond John[shark tank investor], Colin Powell, Oprah Winfrey, Jay Z/Beyonce, Bryan Gumbel, Obama, Richard Wright [black author, one of my favorite authors]…just off the top of my head. I think they have been involved with “the American dream”. If you stop fixating on the horrible stuff that did happen in the past, you can approach the world TODAY with a much more hopeful & optimistic outlook. Your dad sounds like he embodies what is great about America, but it seems to me that your mom has had a profound impact on your though processes, judging by some of your posts.

Focus on the individual..not on groups

There is some truth to my mother’s words.

No there isn’t. Not since decades ago. The brain rot is real.

I was in line at the grocery store today and overheard two woment talk about a strategy to shrink their stomachs.

Eat yellow fruit like bananas, mangos, or apricots, and drink lots of sugar free club soda for breakfast. Wait a few hours then take a really hot shower and massage your abdomen the whole time. Mix half salt and half sugar in water until it starts settling, then dump it over ice and drink it as cold as possible. The stomach cramps are how you know it’s working.

So . . . yeah.

They sound like small, crazy children talking about how to build a space ship.
