Meh, except - I hope - taxidermy and gambling, other supposedly off putting hobbies from the list became attractive if they’re a quirk of athletic, socially adjusted dudes (preferably handsome as well). That’s at least my experience.
Case in point - Henry Cavill and Warhammer figurines.

It’s weird. I think the dopamine hit from validation on social media makes people obsess over it. And the nature of that platform (scrolling content with quick hits of entertainment) causes the same effect that people get when playing the slot machines at casinos. Highly addictive. So they spend tons of time on there anyway for “research” to know what’s trendy and what to post, plus they have notifications turned on so that they don’t miss a thing… all because that’s where their brains live.
I believe it’s an addiction machine for both sexes, but usually more so for females. So yeah, when males get swept up by it, it degrades their masculinity.

Nah, that’s pretty cool. Actually most of those hobbies would be fine if they didn’t get out of hand. Although figurine collections would probably get obnoxious.
The cut off line between cool & not cool is probably whether it adds to or detracts from the relationship.
Like, I’ll go out shrooming for a few hours on a Saturday and we’ll have awesome food for a couple weeks.
