Most high end clothing is designed for tall people. Nothing looks nice on short frames unless tailored
So what’s the problem?
This happened to me the first time I went to a casino. My future ex was on a slot machine and asked for 20 dollars. It lasted about two minutes. When she asked for another 20, I had already done the calculation in my head at this point, I walked away. I went to the videogame arcade and spent less than 20 over a couple of hours.
Yeah. I’ve gotten way more hours of fun out of the pellet gun than it cost, and made many tens of thousands of dollars getting jobs in code shops thanks to my little impulse purchase.
One of the beauties of working at a subcontractor was being closer to the field guys and foreman. I miss the unfiltered humor of the sheet metal foreman, plumbing foreman, and sprinkler fitter foreman when I worked at a mechanical subcontractor.
Sheet metal foreman reached out last week asking how I’m doing.
Now I work at a general contractor, sooooo office folks. These people are so goddam corny. I don’t know what’s so funny.
I hate meetings, especially unproductive ones.
I still believe.
Pretty wild he ended up posting here for a bit.
99% of meetings are unproductive
I loved that movie as a kid, along with all kinds of movies set in California. We didn’t have those kind of beach parties in Indiana.
People might watch that scene today and think it is just more 80s wackiness on film, but he is a legitimately talented saxophonist, legitimately jacked and actually performed that way, making the scene quite authentic in that regard. He was performing, not acting.
I think he still performs and is still moving iron around.
I still believe he does…
Ok, sorry, I had to. But yeah, as of a few years ago he was posting about his training here. I remember being totally agog of him the first time I saw him in the movie. Like “f**k the Coreys, go recruit THAT dude to fight the vampires”, haha.
The GOAT ! Actually, hung out with one the actors in that film in Carlsbad CA. The punk dude with the white patch in his hair
Awesome soundtrack too ! Tim Cappello is on this board sometimes
He’s a guest commentator on Axis TV’s “Top 10 Revealed” show. Saw him the other day. Still looking good, but wearing slightly lighter chains. ![]()
I chatted with him on here before… geeked out on it.
Been in a cave… for 40 days… only a spark… to light my way
Let’s show some love for The Call who created the original version of the song.
Astute. I still listen to it regularly
Relatable. We had a Magic Pizza Bush in our neighborhood. And near us is Fried Chicken Parking Lot. I swear, half this city drives to this lot, eats chicken, and tosses leftovers out the car window. My dog tries to pull us to it daily. ![]()
My old pooch had spots where she went after chipmunks and would return to check them for the rest of her life.
I can’t imagine her response to a magical pizza garden.
