Hey hot stuff. Let’s see. I’ve been living the single life since 8/19, when hubby took the boat and dog to NY. It’s nice but lonely. On the up side, not worrying about making sure he’s fed means Lindsay lost six pounds without trying. :wink:

I decided against doing the strongman comp this weekend in Pueblo. 4+ hours of driving, plus competing, and it’s the first day of college football…yeah, not gonna happen.

My gym closes for a week every year around Labor Day. I went to go see about dropping in at Lifetime Fitness, near my house - $30 for a day pass! HA! So I pretended like I might be interested in a membership and trained for free. LOTS of nice eye candy, but thanks, I’m not interested in paying $60 a month for no chalk and octagonal plates.

I’ll see about dropping in at RMLC or one of the other random places near my home the rest of the week. It’s kind of fun to go to random gyms and see how the “I actually pay good money for a gym membership and look like I use it” side lives.

Thought maybe you got crushed by one of those trucks you’re lifting these days.

You could come train with some really cool people this week. Bench Wednesday and DL Thursday.

Yeah, right. I’m just playing around with DL these days. Trying out sumo at light weights. I’m pullling 155 for reps on Thursday. Gotta wait until RG uses the bathroom or something to do so. Don’t think he’d approve.

Wednesday 10 am at 24 on Kipling/Bowles.

Thursday 10 am at Better Bodies.

Lemme know if you wanna join us.

I have court both mornings, will probably be done by then but not certain. I’ll let you know.

Went to my next-door gym tonight. It used to be a “Powerhouse” gym and the dude who opened it tried to woo me from my regular gym, but I didn’t want to pay more. It would be nice tho, since it’s open 24 hours. However, the equipment is not really all that great. Benched and rowed tonight, and they have decent DBs and benches, but they only have one squat rack, and the bars are kind of cheap.

I doubt I’ll do the push/pull. A meet is silly without a squat, and I’ll probably be still bloated from my vacation. I might referee.

You can sign up for pull only, I believe, but again…who wants a meet without a squat???

Yes, you can do DL only, which is what I’ll do if I participate. But I feel the same way about the squat. That’s the best part of the meet!

LOL my influence. My influence is limited to the potential arm twisting I can do by refusing to referee a meet…not so much.
