I think you have your hands full with strongman and powerlifting. You don’t need to throw in logging as well unless that GPP.

Missed you at the meet last weekend. Your coach asked me about you. Seemed hurt that he hasn’t heard from you. Wanted to know if you were training regularly. I told him you were doing Strongman these days. Will you do the December PLing state meet? All else going well? I’m going hiking with Ali next week. I think she might be planning to kill me along the way. So if I never show back up on the Forums, you’ll know she was successful.

Awww, yeah, I’m a bad girl. I miss him and was planning to do the meet, but I’m not about to show up and make an ass of myself. This summer has definitely been off for me. My right knee hasn’t been working right since that boat accident, and so my squatting has been weak. It’s been feeling better, but I’ve not been to the Dr.

I am planning to do the December meet. I’ll holler at Ron before that. Maybe I’ll see him in the next few weeks, when Hubby’s out of town and I’ve got time to kill.

Ali and I don’t really talk anymore, but it’s good for you to hang out with her, she can use a friend.

It’s men only. I have a Board meeting in Aurora from probably 8-11 that day, but I would like to watch the comp too. You gonna go?

In my quest to make strongman implements out of normal gym stuff, I chained together several plates to make, basically, cylindrical stones. I can have a wide variety of “stones” this way, from 100lbs with 25s to 180 or even 225 with 45s. I played with the 35s for 140 and it’s a great exercise, it simulates the movement really well.

However, I need to figure out a better way to keep the plates together. My chain wasn’t super tight so the plates would separate a couple inches as I rolled the plates up my body. When the plates slipped down my front a few times, I bruised DA FUCK out of my thighs. Really nice, plate shaped bruises.

But yeah, good exercise, will take pics when I get a better setup.
