Are you still able to get hubby to work out with you? Generally, I go to the gym with my husband twice per week. We do our own things, but its nice to have a spotter when I need one. However, despite my best efforts I cannot get my guy to squat or deadlift or do any leg work. So. Frustrating.

He’s hit and miss. He prefers to work out at home during the work day, which isn’t really an option for me.

Gonna go give blood in a bit. It’s a very effective weight loss tool.

Oh, and I didn’t end up giving blood on Tuesday. My deponents who were supposed to show up at 10, and failed to do so, showed up at 1. Getting everything re-coordinated was a shit show, and they were EXTREMELY grumpy.

Good point that you can deficit dead just by using smaller plates. I often fail to remember that. Gotta work these in sometime myself.

I spend a lot more time in the cage during this time of year, basically just protecting it from curlers.

Snap, you’re the main reason I’m trying to be kinder to my shoulders.

I didn’t do them in the cage. Instead, I got as close to the DB rack as I could, to make sure no one else could use half the weights. I’m polite like that.

The bad weather out here and my general desire to cuddle up and wear flannel have impacted my cardio, and my weights have been lazy, but done.

I was having trouble with my ass, to the point where basically anything like a deadlift or rack pull wasn’t happening. Also been having a lot of trouble with my lower back and getting pumps. I’ve been foam rolling and stretching more, and finally broke down and ordered the black styrofoam-type roller from EFS. I figure my foam-foam roller is so soft it’s useless, and my PVC hurts so much I don’t use it.

Friday, my ass was still hurting so I did some speedy deadlifting until my ass couldn’t deal with it, then did some floor pressing until I pussed out. I was supposed to do the floor presses Sunday. Instead, Sunday, I did shoulders, bis, tris, and lats.

Monday and Tuesday were Snowpocalypse/fuck you it’s cold out.

Yesterday, I was still feeling a little meh, so I squatted without a belt, but with wrist wraps, to 265 to a lower-than-competition-depth box. I’m going to go without a belt more often, my abs are a little sore. Concentrating on maintaining speed and tightness on the descent.

I don’t know how outside the box you are, but maybe acupuncture for dat ass? I hear it does wonders when other things don’t. Some insurance covers it.

Have you had a massage lately? Is it sore muscles or injury? What did you do that your ass is so sore? Come on. Fess up.

I think it’s a combination of sitting too much and just beating the hell out of it with one legged work. I have only had one massage in my life, and it sucked - chick was weak. Never had acupuncture, but my chiro does that stuff and I haven’t seen her in ages.

I can sit on my bathtub edge and move around and feel the lumps. It’s pretty bad when you can foam roll without a foam roller.

I’m wearing my chucks and a sports bra to work today, with gym clothes in the car. I was in the elevator when I realized you can clearly see my nipples through my bra and heavy sweater. Dammit.
