A Breath and a Scream

Is it similar to what one does in a bodice?

Actually, it is. When you are in a shirt, you pull your tits up and the neck down, at various times (depends on whether you’re having trouble touching, etc.). Historically, I’ve had someone reach down the neck of the shirt to pull the tits up by the bra, or by themselves. Yeah, PLing is hot.

One issue with this is that it is hard to fight the pull of gravity and the shirt to get the tits as high as possible.

In PR, I learned the trick of getting back into your arch, and having your boobs moved up while you’re on your back. Then you belt, while still in the arch. Less boob movage, it’s great![/quote]

poked my head in here just in time…Snap said I needed to PM you in ref to the “girls” and a bench shirt…I’ve heard/seen it both ways, boobs way down and boobs way up. What shirt are you wearing PMPM? I’m just beginning single ply and looking to get a shirt very soon. Any comments or suggestions?

I’ve worn a very loose Fury and now I wear the F6. I have a high arch, it wasn’t very hard to learn, and it doesn’t beat me up too badly. I get about 50 lbs from it.

Hey pmpm, did you always have a high arch or did you have to work at it? I’m just asking because I bench pretty flat now and I feel like I’d do better if I could arch more, but I would have to put some serious time into getting extension in my back again.

The first time I benched with people who knew anything about it, they said “tighten up your shoulderblades, move your feet here so you can get some leg drive, and HOLY CRAP you have quite the arch, young lady.”

I’ve never worked on my flexibility, beyond stretching my hip flexors, to get my arch. It just kind of is. That’s one of the reasons I’m so annoyed by the IPF’s decision to be more cranky about arching and % of ass on the bench.

Huge walk outs- nice work.

all this bood jacking and pics of bruises -
PL is HOT.

Oh are the new IPF rules giving advantage to flat benchers?

I’m not entirely sure wtf is going on with the new IPF rules. There have been proposals that would decrease or practically eliminate arches, and I had heard that they were adopted. But I’m not sure exactly what is adopted, what is new, etc. You have to have at least 50% of your buttocks on the bench, and that’s kind of a tough call given different physiques and the belts we use to hold our shirts down.

When I’m in my arch, it just feels normal. I try flattening out, and getting more ass on the bench, and I feel like I’m about to fall off.

Last bench session before the meet. 245. That’s a 14 lb PR. Yay.

Yeah, I am definitely YAY!!!

The whole thing has made me think about how we push ourselves (or don’t). I know I’m certainly guilty of gym timidity; I am terrified of hurting myself, and then I wonder why I have sucky gains.

The good thing about lifting with the spouse is that he does force me to make attempts that I am not comfortable making. I don’t know if it is fear of failure, fear of injury, a lack of self confidence, or what, but I really take baby steps when getting under heavier weight.

Perhaps this is why my bench and squat increase, but my deadlift doesn’t - once I’m under the bar, I can either make the lift or die. It brings something out of me. With deadlifts, I can quit and not get hurt. So I’m a wuss with them.

Also, I evicted a chick today, and now firmly believe that everyone should speak fucking English. Seriously, you come to court, without the ability to communicate, and expect me to take care of you?

Of course, I did take care of her. She doesn’t have to move out until 12/13. I’m a freaking pushover.

Happy Thanksgiving. I am going to make some gluten free pies tonight!

I hope you have a lovely holiday. You have your non English speaking eviction to keep you warm.

I think I’d be a pushover too. I talk a good line sometimes but I’m really kind of a marshmallow.

It really does make a difference training with someone that knows you and will push you. I get that from BB. I’m sure you’ve heard in more than one of my videos, “Do it again”. I think a lot of my gains this year are from having him supporting me (literally) and pushing me.

you can bench 245??? Unbelievably AMAZING!! way to go!!

wow! can you teach me to bench…seriously…?
Show us your gluten free pie.

Nice bench. Very nice. Did your hubby shirt you and all?

Yep. He will probably shirt me Saturday, maybe tweaks from Ron or Robb.

I had a great Thanksgiving, but now I’m at the dentist getting an old filling re-done. Ugh.

More later.

My mom “no speak english too good”, but she can still convey an absurd amount of bitchiness in her broken english. Its amazing. Just don’t fall for their watery doe-eyes. It’ll get you every time…

How were the gluten free pies?

Miss you!

You even ate a filling? Damn PMPM, you know how to chow down!
