Nice work though, really strong through the bottom half! A lot of people don’t cross train their lifts, getting out of their “comfort zones”. I found that heavy Kettlebell swings,focussing on the hip snap helps me with my lifts. i am no expert though, just in the trenches, figuring out wtf works for me.

Friday night - benching, shirted. Yay! Warmed up with bar, 95, 135, 155, and partials with 185. Then I put on the shirt, and attempted 185. Dumped it before I touched, combination of the weight being too light and the sleeves not being deep enough in my armpits. Settled back down, did 205 (opener will be somewhere between 198 and 209) like it was nothing. Nice. Will bench shirted one more time - tonight or tomorrow.
You can see minor bench shirt bruises layered over the coffee table bruise. It feels thick inside the bruise, but it isn’t hurting as badly, and the shirt didn’t aggravate it.
Saturday, Oklahoma beat the shit out of Baylor.
Sunday, squats. Warm up with bar, 95, 135, 185, 225, 275 (suit, straps up, and belt), 315 (straps and wraps), 365 (straps and wraps). 365 was easy. I am nervous about going above that without a spotter - mainly because the cage at my gym has really big J hooks, and I have trouble unracking and racking alone. I move the hooks down to basically nipple height instead of sub-collarbone, just to make sure I can unrack over that J without killing myself. It turns the move into a 1.5 squat.
Then I walked out 405, 425, and 445 with a belt, but from the low hook. Yay. Most I’d ever had on my back before was 425.
Oh, and I’d fully intended to video the squats, but left the camera at home. Let’s hope I’m not cutting them high.

So I’m getting assessed (assed?) for laser corrective eye surgery. Amongs other “special” eye things about my “special eyes” I’m informed that I have a very LARGE pupil. As in it is more dilated than most people’s are. Surgeon informs me that I may see halo’s around lights at night. I tell him I ALREADY see halos around lights at night… I think the halo thing is from pupil dilation.

Actually, it is. When you are in a shirt, you pull your tits up and the neck down, at various times (depends on whether you’re having trouble touching, etc.). Historically, I’ve had someone reach down the neck of the shirt to pull the tits up by the bra, or by themselves. Yeah, PLing is hot.
One issue with this is that it is hard to fight the pull of gravity and the shirt to get the tits as high as possible.
In PR, I learned the trick of getting back into your arch, and having your boobs moved up while you’re on your back. Then you belt, while still in the arch. Less boob movage, it’s great!
Funny thing about the shirt and light weight…
The meet BB did on October 30, he dumped a relatively light warm up (in the warm up room) which was his last warm up. All the old ladies were wringing their hands when he didn’t drop his opener lower. He went out, nailed all three attempts and got a record. Everyone was in awe that he could suck in the warm up room and rock the platform. You’d think they’d never used a shirt before.
I reminded him about the movie with Sean Connery and winners and what they get etc. I remembered that from the meet when you made your third bench.

I remember the first time he reached down my shirt to pull my boobs up and I said “What’re you doing!” And he said “Pulling your boobs up.”
I just had to trust that he wasn’t pulling one over on me. But truly, pulling my boobs up is not quite the same as pulling yours up, PMPM.
