Is the bruise really bothering you that much? You’re tough. Ain’t nothin’ but a thang ![]()

It’s not bad, except when hubby goes to grab my arm to get my attention…ouuuuch. Attention obtained.
I don’t think it will be fully faded before the state meet. Dammit. That means I have to suck it up, or bench raw. I don’t think the seams of my shirt will press directly on the bruise.
Since I’m good at sucking it up, I figured out a way to manipulate my husband into shirting me tonight. “Have a good day working honey. No sex tonight, until after you shirt me.”
This probably means I will be having sex while IN the shirt, but I guess that is just a sacrifice I will have to make.
And no ouroboro, there will be no video of that.

Bench sex is its’ own reward
Isn’t that one of the advantages of training at home?
So, I didn’t get to get shirted yesterday. No comment.
I pulled equipped. 335 was easy, probably be my opener. 365 was lost at lockout, but I feel like I could’ve gotten it had I screamed a bit.
I punched myself in the forehead before the lifts. No lie. I think it actually did help. I’m officially a freak. It kind of hurts today.
After pulling, I did some rack pulls, both sumo and conventional, and abz.
The gym was packed full, douchers doing front raises in the cage with the barbell and 10s, jerks who weren’t stripping their bars, etc. The only good thing was Hot Gym Guy was there, and we talked for about 15 minutes. He’s thinking about doing PLing. I told him he should, and I’d work with him to make sure he does it right. Poor guy, he came up to me to show me his new deadlifting war wounds. He’s only been pulling for about a month. ![]()
I figure if I can get him into competition, that means he’ll have to wear a singlet. ![]()
When I pull heavy in equipment, I get an exertion rash. Red dots all over my forehead, down to my cheeks. It’s not cute. And so I fucking LOVE Bare Minerals makeup, that stuff is so awesome. I’m not a terribly makeupy makeup chick - I love eye makeup, but rarely wear anything like foundation. So I love this stuff, since it’s so light and un-fuckup-able, but covers my powerlifting exertion rash. ![]()
Since everyone is doing rack pulls this week you must list what you did and if it was above or below the knee ![]()
LOL! Well, my rack pulls were actually off two risers for the little step thingys, so below the knee both conventional and sumo. I did 3x3x225 conventional, and 5x3x225 sumo. That’s right about where I historically lose equipped lifts, and it’s funny how hard it is for me to start the pull at that point.
Once I get it past the break, the lockout is easy. I should probably pull lockouts heavier and higher, since I had a bit of trouble with them at my last meet.
I get petichial hemorrhaging when I pull in gear as well. It’s usually gone by the next day. What I also get on my heaviest pulls are weird vision issues. My vision is almost cloudy and I see rainbow auras around lights. It disappears after a while like an hour or so. Do you experience anything like that? I always know I pulled my last heavy of the day when I blow my eyes.
a kinky freak, lol
glad you found something to make you feel good(the makeup) I dont wear that stuff either…A) I dont know how
B) It just looks like Im trying to cover my freckles and looks weird.
Trying to recruit that guy so you can see him in a singlet…funny!

I don’t get rainbows, but I do see fuzzy. Just for the first minute or two after a pull.
Head spins, maybe a trouser cough at the bottom end of a squat…occasionally
Hey PMPM.
I’m now lifting on Saturday the 4th. RG can help you with your gear if you need assistance. But I get to punch you in the forehead before your final DL. I’ll be really hurt if you let anyone else do this for you.
PMPM, question, how do you get down to grab the bar for deadlifting while in your squat suit? Worked on it tonight, and had trouble grabbing the bar and getting into position. Is your deadlifting suit looser?

Nope, most of the difficulty is getting down there with some air in me.
I generally squat down as low as I can, then straighten my right leg a bit (don’t lock the knee) and grip the bar with my left hand. I take in as much air as I can before I squat down, so I tend to hold my breath for a while.
Once I have a good grip with the left hand, I lever myself over to grip with my right.
Oh, and depending on my weight, it’s easier or harder to get to the bar. ![]()
Thanks PMPM, Ill try all that once I can pull again.

have you tried with a narrower stance? just curious… like this

My suit is sumo, and I really can’t break at the hips with a narrow stance - it forces my knees out. I lift raw sumo narrower, but frequently can’t get to the bar with the same narrower stance. Bah.
Timmy, I have lifted raw conventional, and I do it as cross-training, but I’ve always competed sumo.

Ron’s wrapping my knees but I’ve always liked how RG shirts me. Hubby might be there to shirt me too, but I might let RG take over tweaking. Remind me to teach you two the awesome jacking boobies trick I learned in Puerto Rico.
