A Breath and a Scream

I also eat breakfast forgot to include that. up, coffee, wash face, coffee, breakfast, coffee, get dressed, coffee… drive to gym… activation work with loud music THEN I’m ready.

Food poisoning is a good way to drop the lbs. FYI. Also a great ab and upper back workout.

oh yes! While it sucks at the time, pissing out your bum is never good, you do feel good immediately after.

Valsalva! Hope you get to feeling better.

So, I sent in my registration for the state meet. I’ll be a 198. Hoping to weigh in around 182, so my equipment still fits normal. The Open state records for this class are a 427 kg total, 347 lb squat, 92.5 kg bench, and a 210kg deadlift. I won’t touch the deadlift, but I could get total, sqat, and bench pretty easy, knock on wood.

Yesterday I played with deadlift stance equipped, trying to get to the bar with a narrower stance. Pulled to 315, at home. Then DB RDLs with 60s, 3x10.

Today, I was supposed to bench shirted. I failed to do so due to my new “wrestle and fall off couch onto table corner” bruise. Fucking idiotic. Instead, I squatted to 315 wrapped, walked out to 405, then some bulgarian split squats with 45s and benching with adjusting my grip narrower, trying to get more stable. My left leg is sooooooooooooooo weak compared to my right.

Fucking bruise hurts when I shift my car.

Hm I’m another one who didn’t know you had a log. Loved the video! Congrats! 5 a.m. training? Yikes. I’m just not strong in the morning, nothing to do with being alert. Everyone’s different. But I don’t have a life so going after work is no problem for me. Looking forward to tracking you here!

Um yea I workout alone at 5:30 a.m. most days. I warm up with some mobility stuff in the house, than wander down to the garage do some jump roping, other warm up. I get up at 4:55 a.m drink coffee, have some peri workout nutrition, walk around and wake up mostly. It just takes discipline and keeping after it, dont know if you ever get used to it though. As one who wakes at 4 each morning, and is in the gym by 425, I’m used to it. It feels wrong if I’m not in there early. I make sure I warm up with some dynamic work, then some cardio, then if it’s my only workout for the day, weights. I tend to split my training into two parts. Mornings are for cardio/calisthenics, then evenings for weights.

Hope you are feeling better!!

And that the morning training is something you get used to…thats tough. But at least you’ll knock it out of the way, and if there’s time later in the day, you can still ‘play.’

that’s a nasty looking bruise.
gaining is so much more fun than dieting.
I look forward to seeing you crush them numbers!

oh…ow…that bruising looks painful :{ its so tender there! :frowning:

Ha, sorry you broke yourself but putting down 315 in just knee wraps is still impressive. 462lb dead is ridiculous, when and who the hell set that?

Several years ago, I don’t know the woman. I figure she was probably tall, with long arms, because she deadlifted really well, and squatted and benched much less.

Bruise, Day 4.

Mornings are not working out very well.

Class tonight until 7.

That is all.

that’s hot!

Arnica gel helps a ton with bruises, it’s at most hippy stores.

Yeah, I have a couple of things of it. I’ve never noticed much effect, but it’s better than doing nothing.

I think the massage/application part of it does a lot too, get the blood moving. I get finger print bruises there all the time, it’s a super annoying spot. You could just hit it to kill the nerves

i find that it brings the bruising out faster, obviously healing faster as well

So did you do the 315 squat in just wraps and belt? I’m not following. I keep getting side tracked by the yucky bruise.

I want more movies. Videos like. I know you’re busy but surely you can indulge us.
