I was going to suggest moving the safeties to the top peg. But forgot that you then no longer have safeties in case you need to bail in your squat. Are you still training with Ron? Can he or your husband spot?

Ron’s in Littleton so that’s difficult, hubby could spot in theory but I fear the execution. I’ll engineer something.
We were using bands last night. I used the blue ones (measure 1" wide) they are the second smallest. I was doing 225 pretty easily and there wasn’t any discernible tension at the top. The thicker the band, the more tension at the top. I’d start with the smaller bands and go a bit a bit lighter. I started with one plate last night and went heavier so I could get a feel for the movement of the bands. The first time I ever did it I used bands that were 2" and it felt weird. I almost lost the bar because the bands pulled it. Good times.
We hang ours from the top of the rack.
I got nothin’ on bands but wanted to stop in and say hi!
Ron gave me a phone number of a woman who just moved to CO, lives near me, and does PL/BB/Strongman stuff. We’re gonna have prowler dates. I’m psyched.

YAY!!!
Glad to hear. Bump.
Prowler dates???!!! I’m so jealous!
Yesterday was some solid deadlifting and speedy squats, some planking, lots of RDLs. I’m planning to pull out the suit asap. I wanted to this weekend, but I’ve got a big party for Saturday. Should be a good time, but not really good for training. ![]()

That’s a great cause PMPM. If I wasn’t 15 hours away from there, I’d be all over it!
Squatted last night, in my loose suit and knee wraps. 315 was light, 365 was light to walk out but I smacked it on the cage and nearly lost it. I decided not to attempt 405 without a spotter after that, so I walked out 405 a few times. It was heavy and my hooks were set too high. 425, also very heavy. But doable.
After that I rack pulled 275 conventional stance for several sets of 3, then did some bicep work for the girlz.
Benched to a lightish raw single yesterday, had no spotter so I went to speed work with 95 and then single speedy pressing at 135. Overhead pressing, floor pressing, band pullups, tri pushdowns, weighted crunches. Good workout, even if I didn’t have assistance. I really need to get into that shirt, tho.
Awesome PMPM. Keep kickin ass and you’ll smash Puerto Rico with ease!
Im so happy for you that 135 is ‘speedy.’

you’re going to be aweosme in PR!!I wish you’d come to the raws though too!
I’m trying for 165 class so i’ll be in on friday ![]()
Very sexy legs, PMPM. And good training too. How often do you see your coach to do heavy geared training?

Not as often as I’d like. Most of the time I do equipment totally alone for Sq and Dl, and with my husband for bench. It’s definitely not ideal, and I know my lifting suffers pretty significantly for it.
I can’t imagine trying to train geared alone.
Don’t know if I’ll see you at Raw Nats. I will be there Friday and maybe, if I’m really lucky, Saturday morning.
love the new avi pmpm and the shoes are edible.
Yes she will be awesome in PR
So yesterday was equal parts suck and awesome. I squatted in my loose suit but lost 365 down my back in the hole. That suit just isn’t tight enough to give much pop. Ouch. Anyway, afterwards I did some raw sumo rack pulls, which were really good (from just below where I lose the lift when lifting equipped), and then a bunch of rowing.
Then I got onto xbox and people from here murdered me. A lot.
