9 Wk Basic Westside Program Advice

I am following the 9 Week Basic West Side Program by Dave Tate and the last two weeks of it call for something called a Good Morning Squats. Is there a correct way to do this movement ot is just going heavy on a squat and gettin sloopy. The latter sounds very dangerous and if that what it is I believe I am going to find another exercise.

Also during the same week it calls for something called a Ball Press is this just benching off of a exercise ball.

Good Morning Squats: This is a combo between a good morning and a squat. You begin the motion as a good morning. At the bottom position of the good morning you squat down, then squat the bar back to a standing position


If you don’t want to do those just choose a different ME lower body exercise.

Ball press is just DB press on a stability ball. Again you can substitute something similar in for this – it’s not like if you don’t do this exercise the program will break.
