Posted a new video on the first page, but managed to add 15lbs and lose no reps in the process in 2 months time
Next up is 650, which originally I thought I would only be able to manage for a single, but now it looks like a double or triple is possible.
How does your back feel doing 20 rep sets from your other thread on progression
I no longer use 20 rep deadlift sets for my training, but when I used them, there was far more hip hinging involved than back recruitment, so no real issue there. For squats, it tends to be more my quads that get torqued than anything else. I don’t use full ROM, and only play with the bar of the ROM where I feel I am weakest, so for the most part I’m just bouncing in and out of the hole on squats at that point.
Reverse hypers have gone a long way for my back as well. I never realized why they cost $2000 until I got one. It’s because they’re worth it, haha. That said, mine is a Rogue, so it’s a bit cheaper.

Thanks man. Could be a couple of factors at play. I do my high rep sets last in my workout rather than first, which means it’s much lower weight than I could handle fresh, and I generally do it after multiple 10 rep sets of the same movement, so I’ve got a great deal of fatigue going. The partial ROM could also be a factor. I’m also not using a belt, which means less weight on my back. Or, you may have simply identified your weak link in the chain, which means what you are doing is going to work, haha.
Low back had torn ligaments in Hs and torn my hamstring twice. It’s more a form mobility thing. But sorry for derail

Don’t be sorry, I like talking about this stuff, haha. That’ll definitely do the trick though. Good to see those injuries aren’t getting you down though. Keep lifting heavy.
