Mendy must be getting nervous

This is a joke right? Mendy has no need to get nervous. The guy has benched over 700 twice in competition. Only two people in the world have ever accomplished a 700 raw. No offense to anyone, but I donāt see that changing anytime soon.

He does have a serious bench. However, seeing a 700 lb raw bench is like seeing a unicorn in person. I have been in this sport for many years and that 700 number has been thrown out quite a few times for a number of guys. None of which hit it. I actually know some of them and they laughed how people dared to hang that number near them.
I know what it took to get on the platform to hit a 600 raw bench. The concept of 700 boggles my mind. I never wish for people not to hit lifts. Quite the contrary, I wish the best for everyone. I do however require they get on a platform before I canonize them.
What happened to this guy? He disappeared off of Youtube, although I did find an updated video on another account. I got excited at seeing this post, but he made it in 2012. LUL, itās 2012.

I saw him in a video training with Mark Bell. Iāll see if I can find it.
Fucking awesome vid, thanks for putting that up Heavy. I liked when Bell said ātowards your faceā and BAM, locked out almost instantly. Itās crazy how itās āthe little thingsā that make big lifts possible.
Thereās some recent videos here: www.youtube.com/user/heavybows

Yes I think Al is very close to 700. I canāt wait to see what he hits this weekend.
Also, just to make this clear, I am not a hater. I think the guy on the vid is super strong. I know competing is not for everyone, but Iād love to see what heād do on a platform. I am all for Americans outpacing the rest of the world in lifting.
