55 Down 30 to Go

Starting to wonder if my mental approach is what’s holding me back. I’ve been focusing on having lost now 60lbs instead of focusing on the fact I still need to lose 25lbs?

I know as of late I’m not nearly as hardcore as I was through the first 60lbs, I was letter perfect 99% of the time and the results were flowing, now I’m perfect 95% of the time and have stalled.

To a degree I’ve become satisfied with myself, when I started this whole thing I figured if I lost 50lbs I’d be a stud (don’t we all) and now that I’ve lost more than that I almost feel let down?

Every day I grow more impatient with myself and fight the urge to start a bulk diet even though I know it’s not time.

I totally hear ya

I was dead set on 225-235 when I started, I calculatd a lean body mass of about 190 putting me at a final BF% of 13-18 depending on muscle growth and other nonsense…

Well that’s obviously not happening as I’ve been 2 lbs shy of 235 and didn’t look sexy.

I think I need to get sub 200… and that’ll take a lot but it’ll be well worth it in the end.

Yea I’m starting to think sub 200’s as well but we’ll see when we get there for right now my total focus is on this next 25-30lbs. Baby steps.

Just a little note for all you 30 somethings out there…WARM UP! Then warm up some more. I started my HIT tonight with a 3 min walk to warm up, not enough, I got into my 5th interval and was pushing off to start my sprint when I felt a sharp pain in my left inside calf muscle, it’s really tight like a cramp so I’m thinking nothing serious. I did finish my HIT, heres how it went.

A)3X 1:00 fast walk/ 30 second sprint/hard run
B)3X 1:30 fast walk/ 30 second sprint/hard run
C)2X 0:30 fast walk/ 30 second sprint/hard run
Repeat A
3 min walk home with a 45 second run at the very end.

So all in all productive I stopped my watch at 18min at some point on my way home. I didn’t feel as spent as the previous times and wasn’t breathing nearly as hard but felt like I went at it harder than last time.

Diggin’ it.

The calf feels fine this morning, a little sore but fine.
Finally went to the store last night got a good deal of supplies.

I found some smoked almonds that are very low salt, less than half the regular and they provide a nice change of pace from the normal boring ones, also found some mixed zone diet nuts that I’m trying out.

Tonight I’m playing golf for some extra activity, probably going to have to cut down on the golf a little bit since there are heads rolling every day it seems lately, I should save some money.

Did not play golf last night was worn out after yesterdays 10.5 hour shift. Today I have a give 2 shits less about working attitude so I won’t.
I fell asleep in my chair after dinner and slept for 9hrs, I never get that much sleep so I’m totally rested and going good so far.

TALES FROM MY LUNCH TIME WALK!!!

So today I went on my usual 30min lunch time walk around downtown KC. I went through Crown Center which is a mall of sorts owned by Hallmark cards. As with most malls there are escalators in this mall, so today I’m double stepping up the escaltor and at the top there is this lady giving me this disgusted look?

I didn’t think to much of it until I realized she was waiting to go down the UP escalator??? She took one step and started flailing her arms to catch her balance when someone in her group grabbed her and pulled her in, I about lost it once she was safe and unharmed. I wouldn’t have laughed if she’d have fallen…well not to her face.

Second story for the day, as I was walking out of Crown center I looked down and what do I see, a roach not a bug either a half smoked joint, now it could have been a hand rolled cig but I doubt it. This is the second time I’ve found a J on my walk.

Third and best story, picture this if you will, there is a fountain down town here that is nothing but jets that fire water out of the side walk into the air about 20 feet, little kids play in the all the time.

There was one little boy today who was sitting on the jets holding his butt cheaks open, he must be from Europe and thought it was a butt cleaner but with the grin he had on his face I’m sure he’ll ask to come back.

Tonight is HIT but it’s looking like more FN rain!!! I’ll go unless it’s pouring a little rain never hurt anyone, lightening on the other hand…

Well it did not rain until after I ran last night.

5 min fast walk warm up
3X1.5min walk 30 second sprint
3X1min walk 30 second sprint
3X30 second walk 30 second sprint

To the guy who reads this have a good weekend.

Good monday morning everyone.

Great weekend, too short but one of the best weekends I’ve had in a bit.
Saturday was awesome! Our neighborhood was having their yearly garage sale and I scored!!! The wife and I took the mountain bikes out and rode around specifically looking for olympic weights and what did we find, a 300lb set. I asked the lady selling them how much she wanted and she said, oh I don’t know hows $10 is that too low?!?!?! I replied with how about $20, great deal for both of us, they are a bit rusty so I hit them with a wife brush and some black spray paint, good as new. Saved my $120 on the cheap end.

I played 18, walked and shot my best score to date 88. Could have been even better had a few putts not lipped out.

Sunday went to the Royals game, what a freaking game it was down 6-0 and came back to win 11-10.

Last night was our first sand volleyball match, I had a blast! The new much lighter dday moves pretty freaking good I must say. We won all 3 games.

Diet was fair this weekend, I had my moments, Saturday turned into carb up day.

Saturday
Breakfast
4 omega 3 eggs
4 turkey sausage

pre golf meal
bowl of corn chex, last minute thing

lunch
worlds best bacon cheese burger

dinner
My wifes pepper steak, I don’t know whats in it but it’s awesome.

We stayed up until about 1am playing Monopoly with friends and I ate half a chocolate chip cookie, yea the diet train was off the track.

Yesterday
I had 4 shakes for meals.

1 braut at the game

dinner
1/2 turkey burger
5 large brussel sprouts

Prebed
1 tbsp PB

5:30a
2 HRX

6a
Breakfast today
2 scoop LCMD
1 superfood
2 fish oil
1 multi vitamin

8:30a
7oz chicken
20 almonds

BTW I weighed in at 228.0 saturday, not the 227 I’d hoped for. Gotta stop eating bad on the weekends, that’s like 3 in a row.

You’re 10lbs a head of me still… but I had a relapse… you’re lucky.

I’m coming for you and I’m coming hard.

Better start working or I’ll fly past you when V-Diet kicks in…

I’m hoping I’m to about your current weight pre-V-Diet

BRING IT ON!!!

I’ve decided that no matter what I weigh come September 1st I’m going to start building back up. Hopefully I can lose 20lbs by then.

I keep thinking I want to do CF I just don’t think I have the gym to do most of it yet. I’ll keep building my gym so I can one day give it a try.

I don’t want to be a Ronny Coleman big more Bill Goldberg big.
