Ok, I’m not as knowledgable as most of the T-men on this board but I’d guess my knowledge is slightly above middle of the road. Among my circle however I’m Thibs. Most of the people I know see what I’ve done with myself and want the same thing so I get a ton of questions, some I have the answers for others I come here and find the answer, it helps me and helps the person with a question.
That said I’m getting really tired of hearing the stories and excuses I get from people who want my results and knowledge (as limited as it is) but have 100 reasons why I’m either wrong, their way is better or they’ve asked a question and don’t like the answer.
I have a buddy who is a very excellent friend but anything I tell him he finds a reason that I’m either wrong or he CAN’T do whatever. Then I get the stories, “oh man, back in '92 I was 150lbs and 3.5% body fat” I wanted to ask him how his funeral was but didn’t want to be a dick. Come on man 3.5% body fat? You’d be fucking dead!
Another friend has asked me 20 times how he should eat to lose a few pounds. I tell him stop eating out every single f’ing day, ditch the 4 soda a day habbit and walk a little bit, with no other changes in your diet you’ll lose 10lbs in short order. The response I get, “nah, I’ll just start running after work” not even 100yrds have been put on his Nikes since the last conversation.
I really want to help people reach their goals but it’s getting harder and harder to want to help people who really just want the majic bean.
Sorry folks there is no magic bean unless you want to call hard work and proper diet the magic bean, if that’s the case then I stand corrected.[/quote]
dday I think the reason that people are like this is that they don’t want to work at fat loss. It’s tough, it takes longer than we want it to take, etc.,
Just keep focused on the goal, that’s what I have to tell myself. I’ve tried losing weight so many times before only to wind up fatter later. I’m hoping this time is different. I’m trying this with my wife, maybe she can help me along the way.

It’s so true, no one wants to get down and dirty to make the fat go away they just want it gone. We are the few who are making it happen.
You mentioned getting fatter later, that is the thing that scares me the most, I can’t let that happen, that’s why I’m here.
Save your pants you wore when you were at your worst and take a picture with them after you need space for your new clothes. Then throw them away ;p
You won’t get fatter later if you decide this is the life you will live. Sort of like moving to a new country instead of “just visiting”.
…and You don’t seem like a tourist to me.
Keep it up, it only gets easier and better. Your on a one way path up.
tehe : didn’t you see the battered sign out front?

Thanks kinein, I’m in it for the long hall, I’m tired of being looked down on for being fat.
Sorry about not posting the last couple of days, I only get online at work and have been extremely busy the last day or so, I’ll catch everyone up ASAP. I’m on track as always but I’ll get the break down shortly…I hope, darn work interfearing with my internet time.
So far today the food list has been.
5:45am- 2 scoops low carb Metabolic Drive
8:45am- 1/4lb turkey burger 15 almonds
11:45am- 6oz grilled chicken, 2 cups spinach, 2 tbspn EVO, 2 hard boild eggs, 1/4 green pepper.
around 3p will have 1 scoop Grow!, 1 scoop low carb Metabolic Drive.
Yesterday: Diet was same as always
Walked 30min at lunch and played 9 holes of golf, didn’t walk this time, pressed for time so needed to ride, lame.
Wednesday work out:
Incline:
185 10X3
ROM DL
165 4X6
Standing military press
120 2X6
Shrugs
185 4X6
calf raises
275 4X6
Skipped tri pushdown, elbow just starting to get better figured I’d give it another few days.
Did incline for a change and it did the trick, really hit my chest good for once.
It’s about time to switch up my program, I’ve done it for a bit over a month and either want to change some lifts or change the entire thing, suggestions?
Incase you missed it I’m doing Waterburys TBT.
WOW I’ve been slacking again with my posts. So freaking busy lately can’t find time to read the site much less post.
Weight this Saturday morning:
229 again! I’m going to start HIIT this week just gotta force myself to find the time.
Diet was great this weekend with the exception of a bacon cheese burger I had at the golf course. I’m a sucker for there club house burgers, I don’t know what they do but they are the best damn burger. I walked 18 holes in gail force winds dragging a 40lb bag for 5 hours I don’t think a bun was that big of deal.
This morning I placed my biggest Biotest order to date $330! That may not be much to some guys but to me thats a chunk of change. I think it’s high time in my now stagnant diet to break out the HRX, I’ve done the real work by myself so hopefully the HRX will provide the kick I’m needing. I’m also trying superfood for the first time, some of those recipes Shugs made with it really look awesome so I’ll be trying a couple.
My workout: What can I say, I’m ready for something new, maybe I’ll keep the TBT and switch out the exercises.
Good work man… 237.6 here myself…
I figure now that its below 240 by a decent amount I’m sub-240 for good.
I’m catching up, if I have another week like last I’ll be close on your heels

DAMN IT!!! I’ve stalled and you’re going great guns! Good work!
I found Thibs Running man article through another thread and plan to put it to use Tuesday and Thursdays for now.

I shouldn’t be sharing my plans with the enemy ![]()
You’re 6’2" and look like you’ve got a lot more muscle between pic 1 and pic 2. Maybe you need to revise your final weight goals upward?

Hahah
You’re still ahead of me in the long run, I could stall out as I get closer to your weight.
That was a great article BTW… I’m already doing interval so thats nothing new, but IBUR… wow thats definitely something I’m gonna try… HIIT can only take you so far…

You’re doing great, for your sake I hope you don’t stall out, it sucks.
I was kind of thinking start with the interval running then work up to the IBUR. I’d likely fall dead on the street if I got to crazy to start with.

Last nights workout was awesome! I figured out my DL problem and killed it. I actually didn’t use enough weight but I’m not going to push it just yet. I performed a few extra warm ups to get the technique down.
DL Warm up:
135 2X10
205 2X6
Session:
DL
260 4X6 with ease
Bent rows
135 4X6 with ease
DB Bench
60lb db’s 4X10
curl bar curls
55 4X10
skull crusher
55 4X10
hanging leg raise
4X10
This afternoon I’m going to buy some more weight for my dumb bells, 60lbs isn’t really cutting it, I figure I’ll bring it up to 80lbs and see how that works for me.
My elbow is getting better, my bicep is fine but both are a bit tender yet so I did enough weight in the arm portion to get a decent pump without aggravating the elbow.
I cut work today and just work up about 45min ago, need to get some food in me ASAP.
Got some grub in me finally.
4 omega 3 eggs
4 turkey sausage links
2 double strength fish oil caps
1 multi vitamin
Heading out here in a few for my first RUN in uhhhhh wow, uhhh maybe…damn must be since about high school. 15 years since I really ran, this should be interesting, pray for me.
I’M ALIVE!!!
I took my dogs out with me thinking I’d do CT’s HIIT run 60sec sprint 30sec training, turns out my dogs, however good at walking with me they’re equally as bad at running, I tried it for about 60 seconds. They are way faster than I am and kept pulling me off my feet, so we walked for 40min. Once home I put the dogs in the house and headed to the local high school to run on the track.
I get to the school and even though school is out there are like 100 people on the track and in the bleachers so I came home and ran the street.
I don’t have a stop watch so I chose to sprint a block and jog a block. Come to find out I’m in worse shape than I thought, after the first block of sprinting it became walk a block run a block, I did this for 8 blocks, gotta start somewhere. OMFG!!! My legs and lungs are toast!
Now I walk 30-40min every day, walking is NOT running! I’m interested in seeing how I feel later today.
Well it’s an awesome day to be playing hooky so I’m gonna do some fishing!
Whoa man, you should really be doing 4:1 ratio… especially where you’re just starting…
Do like… 2 Mins Jogging 30 Secs Sprinting… the 2:1 is hard as hell… you gotta work your way up there… start at like 4:1 for 12-15 mins and work your way up(by adding rounds) to 20-25mins with ease(few weeks) move to 3:1 1:30 jog :30 sprint 12-15 mins work your way up… til you get to 2:1 then eventually (elite) 1:1
Yikes don’t kill yourself jumping ahead too farr

Yep you’re right, I was dieing when I got done. I’m thinking 2 times a week on my off days from the weights? I will be doing the 2:1 maybe 3:1 mixed in there a little, we’ll see how I handle the whole thing.
I actually feel pretty darn good now. Hopefully this will kick me back into fat loss mode, along with the HRX I should shed the weight by August.
