I reckon if you put on some metal you’ll get another 10-15lbs up. ![]()
Good job man.
Awesome!!! Keep building band strength and you will be doing 1500 in no time!!!
Nice job bro, makes it even better at your bodyweight.
Cool to see someone get pumped after a pr!
Monopoly
Great job!

What do reverse bands do for your bench training? I understand the concept of chains and bands increasing resistance through a movement…but the reverse?
BTW, great lifts.
Reverse bands takes pressure off at the chest where the band tension is strongest. The band tension decreases as you lift the weight up until you’re lifting straight weight at lockout. Reverse band benching is supposed to mimic lifting in a shirt, since the shirt gives a little spring at the bottom.
With regular band benching, you have the weakest band tension at the bottom and it’s pretty much straight weight on your chest but as you lift the weight the band tension increases at the lockout, so you’re lifting the weight plus the fully stretched band tension.
Hope this makes sense.
awsome lift, keep it up.
ps. you have a sick setup
Thanks for taking the time to explain Reef.

I would love to bench 1500, but probaly not gonna happen.
Hopefully 550 in the very near future and then on to 600!
Have a great day!

I appreciate the comment.
I try and have fun when I train.
Lifting can be very exciting, especially when I hit a PR that keeps me getting closer to 550 then onto 600!
Have a great day!

You probably would be able to bench another 50 pounds if you got rid of that gay Kokomo song.

550. You’ll get there fast, and then you’ll take it slow. That’s where you wanna go. Haha…
Good job on the lift.[/quote]

I appreciate the comment and I like the log in name, its a gorilla thing!
Reef got the concept correct.
Reverse bands allow the opporubity to train for lifting in a shirt without wearing a shirt(RAW)!
Great question!
