Depends on how much you pull and bench.

Haha, it’s all about the total, right. In the 275 weight class, my personal opinion is “strong” starts at an 1600 total (raw, of course).

There sure is an awful lot of claims in this thread. I would be willing to bet that if a video was required along with your post this thread would be much smaller. I’m not saying, I’m just sayin…BTW I squat 880 lbs X 15 @135 lbs [/quote]

Seriously? I don’t see anything that is really that unbelievable. I can probably* hit 465-470 after only training for 2 and a half years at 225 bodyweight. That’s only a little over 2xbw. A 500 lb squat is NOT that hard to achieve (unless you’re tiny), if you don’t train like a moron and you are gaining body weight. Maybe you need to step up your training?

*I say probably, as I’m really basing this off of rep #'s. This is also with a belt. I’ll video me doing 405 for reps on sunday, just to make you happy.

Wow, I thought I was a pretty strong guy. Turns out everyone is so much stronger than I thought. I’ve meet way more people in this thread that squat 500, than in all my years in the gym. /sarcasm

265 lbs x 1

Just started doing them 2 months ago after I broke my back. 500lbs squat to me is amazing, so I guess it’s who you ask

There’s really nothing here all that unbelievable. It doesn’t take much to get to 500…

I hit 585 in the USPF nationals at 198 body weight. 500 came easy struggling to hit 600 for over 18 moths 585 was a pr

Yessir. I’ll start;

I’ve done this for a triple in training to the same depth but had knee problems for the 10 weeks leading up to the meet.I wouldn’t consider anything higher than IPF depth a ‘squat’ as the term squat originates from the ‘deep knee bend’. Only Olympic squats and IPF squats would fall into this catergory.

I know the feeling.

I got to 500 fairly easily, pushed through to 573, missed 589, still working towards 600+.

You’ll probably get to 600 before me.

did 500 @ 178 senior year of high school. best PR to date is 625 @ a little over 220. now im sitting at a body weight of 190 and done 415x12.

Now just a question, but how old are you all? i am 17, been lifting hard for 9 months, and have squated raw 400. and last week I hit 365x5. I dont knkow where I should be guaged, but Id like to think that In a year, ill hit the 500+ mark

501, 523, and 531, at 181 raw at April 5th, at a meet.

Solid squat man.

How’d the rest of the meet go?

Video’s in my profile. Just sayin’.

back in May…training for a meet on October 3rd
the goal is 540 for my third attempt on meet day

I feel so damn weak reading this thread LOL

Honestly, how many years of squatting did it take yall to reach 500?

495 squat raw at 210lb (High BF%, i have done 455 at 181) 18years Old 1.5 years of training.

Looking to hit 500x5 by the end of the year.

First time working out i was able to rep 225.

I guess it runs in the family because my 14 year old brother is squatting 315 at 135lb or so (put up 185 first day at the gym)(6 months of training)
