Man, I wish I knew as much about training when I was in college and had access to an all-you-can-eat cafeteria as I do now! Take advantage my friend!

You guys realize that if OP lives in the dorms at college, he has four solid years of infinite food and 24/7 access to weights! You still don’t think a healthy 18-22 year old man can put on one clean pound per month in that environment?

Infinite food yes, clean food? fuck no. lol ![]()
That’s why it is the perfect time to bulk up. I used every ounce of that shitty food to its fullest capabilities.
you and me both ![]()
Just get’s frustrating at times when you know exactly what to do different to make improvements, but can’t because of the food sources you are limited too.
There are shit tons of carb choices but very limited protein or good fat foods.
Bugs the hell out of me.
Man, I know it REALLY seems like it sucks right now, but wait until you get your own place and are spending like $200-$300 a week on groceries. Fucking price of food is getting insane these days.
Really? It usually costs me $150 for a week-2 weeks.
I just buy bulk ground beef, eggs, oatmeal, chicken, some veggies & rice and that’s it. No variety makes it cheaper lol.

Ah, the buying in bulk helps a lot. I know last year at my old college we didn’t have a Costco/Sam’s Club-type store around, so I always got jewed with my grocery bills. Granted, I wasn’t shopping very intelligently, either.
Still, Austin should be excited about his opportunity for ridiculous growth in the coming years.
How are the prices for quark (curd) in the US?
Quark used to be my main protein source while being a student. I gobbled down about 4.4 lbs a day and thus got about 250 g of protein (casein) for about 2 EUR.
Great with fruits, (low cal) syrups, oatmeal and chocolate chips.

Curd… Quark?! How about gobble-tee-goop?
Come on now man, you know we don’t have anything but Hostess and Little Debbie foods here.

I couldn’t even afford protein supplements until my senior year (which is when I leaned up quite a bit). Before that, I just used that time to add as much size as I could. It worked. Just don’t expect to look like a cover model the entire time if your goal is to put on that much size.
I remember breakfast on weekends often being one big ass waffle, as many scoops of eggs as I could talk them into and milk. Mind you, I was lactose intolerant…but I wanted to make progress more than I cared about the hassle of dealing with that.

I have only just started training consistently, and barely started lifting legs. Never even tried a deadlift before so from what I hear I’ve got some room for growth. Also I’m completely drug free. Can’t wait to post my RMP in a month or so.
I am an athlete first, and I have a dream to play football as long as I can. If I had to stop tho, Id turn to natural bodybuilding in a heartbeat and be the first all natural Mr. O.
Nice another fellow 6’2-er ![]()

Nice, we should get T-shirts made Waylandah. “6ft or better” Competing as a natural athlete in a untested show Schlen you’re in for a rude awakening my friend. Cheers

First time I read this, you came of as a douche of cosmic proportions.
Second time, okay… Let’s say you’re being realistic. Totally ignoring the direction of the thread, but blatantly realistic.
I’ll never seriously enter a bodybuilding comp. After all, the last streak of O’s was won by the Cole train himself who surely must have a BMI higher than his IQ. Besides, I already mentioned I’m a football player.
READ THE STARTING POST.
“Hi, i’m a 19 y.o. kid who wants to be a bodybuilder, who’s my competition?” The sad thing was that nobody responded to him, so I thought I’d start the trend.
Right after the first post the fuckers like you came along and just had to shit all over the apple pie. You just dropped trou, squeezed you’re taught round glistening cheeks over this thread, and squeezed out a warm round one.
Damn I’m in a bad mood, but why can’t you just say, “Good job Tiger” like everyone else. Seriously, it’s that kind of thread.

How the fuck was what I said negative? I said you’re in for a rude awakening because believe or not the levels that AAS use takes the human body is lightyears ahead of what can be done naturally. Its your choice and all I can say is more power to you and I wish you well in natural shows. Secondly, Next time you start shooting off your mouth read up on who exactly your planning on attacking. Fuck, read the thread retard. YOU ONLY FUCKING READ THE FIRST FEW POSTS.
I’m part of the group that have been against people trampling on Austin and his dream. As for you attacking Coleman, you are entitled to your opinion but so am I. The man is part of a sport that requires great knowledge in order to get his body to such a high level. More so than running around with a ball methinks.

Why SHOULDN’T he shoot for the stars?
Because it leads to failure and having your wife leave you and taking the kids and losing your house and then living in a motel 6 eating ice cream… Opps to much info
I want to share something.
I had a goal,a dream, was not bodybuilding or whatever but it was my dream.
people said the same things all you all are saying.
Take it one step at a time, you HAVE to do this or do that there is a process you have to go thru first.
people never once said “good job keep at it”
nope it was always something about trying too hard and failure.
my “family” left me my ex left me,I had to live in a shitty motel eating meals out of an 8 dollar rice cooker.
mainly dollar store bags of rice and cans of spam.
I was knocked down kicked in my face and called all kinds of names cause I was an “idiot” for even trying
well as of Janurary this year, after 10 years of tears, blood(literally) ,sleepless nights hell sleepless weeks
people leaving and laughing and talking shit I have made my goal.
the best day of my life besides the birth of my daughter was the day I was called to my face a professional.
I have given up everything and nothing stood in my way.
now 4 months later i have another hiccup in that goal but now I have a new goal.
and no mater how long it takes or who I must step on to reach that goal its mine and I will take it.
to everyone trying to tell the OP how he should do it, who the fuck you think you guys are?
this kid has a dream and he has put down where everyone in the world can see it that he will make it a reality
hes got ambition.
Failure?
so because he dosent make his goal right away, thats failure?
let me tell you, from this point on everything this kid does is going for something,no mater the outcome its not a failure ever.
Austin, do it your way, people will talk shit but no one can ever judge you if you do it your way.
Self made is the only real way to do things dont forget that.
Fear of failure is fear of living.

Cute. The man has more education than most of the people calling him an idiot. He is also fairly well off financially due to his choices in life…something most of you have yet to accomplish.
But hey, keep the insults coming. You geniuses are clearly ahead of most of us intellectually.
Just curious austin, do you get the chance to train with people who have similar goals or have been where you want to go? Attended any shows yourself? Other weight lifting sports like power lifting? I think surrounding yourself with as many of these people as your can would be the best thing you can do for your goal. Even if you only get to go during your uni break and have to drive a fair few hours.
I was going to suggest the same thing as Beatnik. Being around like minded people helps alot (this forum is a good start, sometimes) but it would be awesome to have some buddies who are as into the lifestyle as you are.
Success never comes before failure. Not trying to do something for fear of failure is one of the biggest problems with man. I would sure as hell regret my life if I decided not to strive to achieve my goals.

Nothing against ronnie kid, just my attempt at humor:) Remember though, football takes plenty of know how as well, but many of the players are dumb as rocks.

this is kind of true, unless you count all of these college kids that do nothing but drink,do drugs, get laid,
oh ya and forget about this no pass-no play thing Im sure thats rigged like in the movies.
now, you do realise that Ronnie Coleman went to College.
Graduated Cume Laude with a degree in accounting
he also played football, so I guess he must have been that “dumb jock” you just spoke of,right?

Ronnie is “country”. Being “country” does not equal “stupid”. One of the smartest doctors I know, Dr. Red Duke, speaks like he just got done herding cattle and square dancing. I guess some of the people here would label him an idiot if they didn’t know who he was.
When the people you call dumb have proven themselves academically to NOT be, who is the real idiot?

LMAO! I hear ya X. Reminds me of my old history teacher, a Doctor K. The man drove a gigantic Dodge pick-up with stacks, dipped Cope, was the head of the rodeo club, owned a ranch, and generally made some think ignit redneck if you they saw him which was far from the truth. The man taught American history so well sometimes his lectures made some of the trust fund kids cry. He would teach the real American history with all the bits they take out to make it look pretty. He also spoke 4 languages and considered himself a Mexican. That’s why they, at least I was, taught us from the beginning to never judge a book by its cover.
