whats that a whole 3 inches???
At least Dorian Yates used to go down full ROM.
Dumbest Post of 2007 so far.
EVER SEEN BLOOD AND GUTS?
DORIAN manages to go quite deep.
SORRY MR> X , I am not surprised by leg press as Ive seem a million and a half people over load the weight and go down one inch.
I think he could have actually gone down farther despite his legs.
THats like squating 2 inches and saying whow look at me I squated 700lbs? whats the difference?
The difference is 1,550lbs.
He cant go lower then what he was doing because his legs are fucking huge. And you cant get a great view of the distance at the angle.

'Nuff said.
“watch yo self” to the camera guy…haha
Awesome! RC is simply awesome!!
I like the Leg Press as it is also beneficial to we taller guys. Good to see a real pro doing them as well.

Have you all really not seen Ronnie lifting before?
He is truly amazing and worth watching.
These are must sees:
LIGHT WEIGHT BABY! BOOOOOOO
I love how his spotter whacks him in the back of the neck before the lifts.
I love how one of his spotters needed a calculator for the leg press and then he nearly peed himself after hitting the “enter” button. You know it’s dang heavy if you need a calculator to figure it out.
By the way, it is a full ROM. So was Yates’. They both lift better and heavier than 99.9% of us board members. Get over it.
the day i have to use a calc. to figure out how much weight im doing… ah…
I see a reoccuring trend with the greats… http://www.pumpedvideo.com/2006/10/28/ronnie-coleman-talks-about-his-diet/
watch this, ronnie is such a nice guy it seems…
and i know tiger woods and roger federer are both super nice as well…
im glad they are such good role models
i just cant understand how his knees supports that much weight. Honestly, was i not born the same way??
then why the hell do i hurt after pressing a quarter of that.

actually dumbass, the difference is about 700 pounds. you can’t compare a squat and a leg press. as a rule of thumb, if you squat 500 pounds then you can leg press 100 pounds. the weight of the load is split in half into 2 different components, one component is verticle and the other component is in the line of action of the leg press.
so with that said, the diference isn’t 1500pounds. i hate people who think they’re strong just because they leg press. the squat is the ultimate test of strength, and to me, a deep squat of 700 pound is much more impressive than this leg press of ronnies. he did not bring it down far enough, and as for his squats he doesn’t o down far enough either.
2250-700 = 1550
Fuck your rule of thumb.

What I want to see is even one professional at that level who has built more muscle than any human on the planet before him stop doing what has gotten them to that level…and start listening to the much smaller and much weaker anonymous guy on an internet discussion forum about how they need to change their form.
“He doesn’t go down far enough”
For what? To win the Olympia more than 7 times? To have legs bigger and stronger than everyone on this forum and most of the people in the world who lift weights seriously? If that isn’t “enough” then he needs to keep doing “not enough” until he decides to retire.
Thanks for your input though. I am sure weight lifters the world over are changing how they lift…because you said so. I know I am.
OK, last time I checked I had 20/20 vision and after having just looked through the video in slow mo just about frame by frame through the actual set I don’t see any difference between how deep Coleman goes and the picture of Yates.
Also, how long will people keep believing that steroids will make 1 ton leg pressers out of anybody who uses them? They work, nobody denies that, but pressing a ton with your legs is mind boggling and something I couldn’t do with the most scientifically sound gear schedule in history.
I’d rather watch him train instead of pose, that’s for sure. His enthusiasm is infectious and seeing him in his cop uniform was AWESOME.
The only thing I was concerned with are that he didn’t have a BUNCH of spotters on the leg press. I also was nervous when he re-racked the sled, I was afraid the stoppers were going to break.

He will always be skinny and weak unless he starts going deeper on his squats.

Hmmm
Maybe we should start leg pressing with Ronnie’s ROM? It seems to get the job done

I guess he wasn’t impressed with Ronnie’s 800lb squat. It’s only 100 lbs over what he considers impressive.

Yes. He obviously does not know what he is doing. He really needs you to be his trainer with your amazing knowledge of technique.
