this is like 6 weeks away! These COVID reschedules are making my head spin!
This is the biggest point here. These are the most pathetic prize pools I’ve ever seen in my life. Gear, food, and time add up to far more than 1st place. This is an all-or-nothing sport - criticizing someone for getting all they can, while they can, is dumb.
Hopefully Ian will now be able to buy a good set of calf implants.
Four weeks until the Arnold Classic, so not a lot to talk about for a while, but this is what Nick Walker is currently looking like in his prep for the show.
Heaps of muscle but nothing really nice about his physique from what I see.
Defending champion William Bonac is apparently out of the Arnold due to travel issues, leaving the title wide open. I’m probably going to give the Arnold it’s own thread because it’s big enough, but my prediction for top 5 is Kuclo, Walker, Akim, Valliere, and Sergio Jr.
Phil Heath is out of this years Olympia according to generation iron.
Pre judging going on. Nick is ahead IMO. Crazy density, conditioning, and no struggling during mandatories.
Kuclo did not deserve to be up there with Nick, should have been lower.
Nick looks insane on his Instagram photos from pre judging.
Think he edges out Ian a bit to win.
Not only is Nick huge, but he probably had the best conditioning of anyone, only Justin Rodriguez was close, but it looks like Nick will win with Steve in 2nd and Justin and Ian fighting for 3rd.
Pretty even there but. Nick’s hamstrings are much fuller.
Results!
Men’s Open Bodybuilding

- Nick Walker, $130,000
- Iain Valliere, $75,000
- Steve Kuclo, $50,000
- Justin Rodriguez ,$30,000
- Akim Williams
- Sergio Oliva Jr., $10,000
Edit: Nick also won the Most Muscular award, scoring him an extra $10,000.
At least there was decent prize money for this show.
I missed the live streams, but looking at the pictures after pre- judging, Nick was definitely the best up there. Good to see Iain move up to second. I think he deserved it.
Scorecard. The judges had Nick as the clear winner. Interesting to see how Valliere overtook Kuclo in the finals.
Pro bodybuilding is becoming post human. By this I mean guys like Walker are starting to look like aliens… Impressive amount of muscle no doubt, but just not human, and not in a good way. Professional muscle abominations.
Looking at Nick Walker’s pics, I personally don’t consider him symmetrical or even something to use as a role model. To me, his delts and quads are disproportionately too big. It simply looks unhealthy. (I know, I should probably stop commenting on these threads)
