That may have eradicated any chance of seeing him in London. Shame. I didn’t see it, how did he miss them?
He didn’t clean it once. The first two times the bar just rolled forward off his shoulders once he racked it. The third time it seemed like he racked it at the bottom but the squat up was really hard and then it just rolled forward again.

It was funny because after the first miss, he looked at his hand like something happened or that he was injured. After the 2nd/3rd miss, he just limped around like something happened in his leg. I’m sure he was faking it, so screw him, lol, I hate lifters who do that.

He was 13kg ahead of everyone in the snatch (158kg), and he opened the C&J at 175kg. So if he opened at 166kg he would have won. His weight was 68.91 so maybe he had to cut too much weight and just suffered on the cleans. That’s happened to me before a comp (I cut weight hard to make 94kg and my snatches were fine, C&J were weak and terrible).

Looking forward to seeing Daniel Dolega in comp though. Apparently he went up to the +105s.

Which one of goes to tell Rigert he has made the wrong decision? LOL

Dude just got buried on the Cleans…weight cut hurts the Cj so much due to the amount of raw strength you miss and it being such a strength lift. Sn you can manage if your fast.

A coach has to reign in his lifters at times. But he was NO WHERE NEAR on the Cleans!

He has a super close grip on the Sn as well. Well inside the rings!

Russia has 6 slots, 2 in the 105’s so that leaves 4 more. He did come 2nd at Paris so I’d be surprised if they didn’t take him imo.

hehe, I am just being superoptimistic, I want to see tight battles, not total chinese domination! A Briton on the platform!! Zoe Smith lifting!!
Zoe did very very well! 2x bw CJ! She is back home training with her coach Andy Callard.

I thought they mentioned he’d done the same weight in Paris, correct me if I’m wrong. Too bad for him, he was in a great spot.

Btw: Anybody notice Daniel Dolega in the +105s? Looking forward to seeing him compete. That is one monstrous family.

I don’t know, I’ve only missed a few cleans I’ve gotten under and it always hurts like hell. And I’m not even lifting anywhere near a challenging squat. After watching that it seems like it probably could have hurt in a few places. It seems like they often limp off when the miss on the clean.

Pulaku only went 2/6, almost bombed. Anybody see him lifting? How’d he look?

He looked a bit confused, as if the european stage was too much for him. Got his opener on third attempt in snatch and made the first c&j.

agreed but I still think he did a good job. That was a big stage for him. He also took a huge jump on the C&J (actually having the last attempt in the competition), was a bit much for him.

Hardly, he was at the worlds. And did well if i remember.

Yeah, but he did look unconfortable this time, but he is a huge talent and his time will come. Today 94 kilo class was very good but the 105s were a bit of a letdown. Ciricu was very sharp and will contend in London. 94 kilo class for London is looking to be absolutely ridiculous. Ilya Ilin, Artem Ivanov, Alexander Ivanov, Saied Mohammedpour, Anatoli Ciricu…all these are over 400 kilo gentlemans and then there is about 395 kilo total guys to contend!

They were so boring.

He was unluckyk to lose thke first 2 Snatchs imo. Should have got them, but was unlucky imo.

CJ first was good. Stuck it.

Didn’t Clean the 2nd. Went crazy on the 3rd for the win, can’t blame him imo. You have 6th or whatever, you have a chance for CJ Gold, do you take it?

Also remember, he is very young…he is 19yrs old. He will get stronger but others won’t get near his level of speed.

Erkand is F0CKING FASSSSSSSSSSSST.

94s and 105 weren’t that great to watch. Not many guys Sn more then 170…we had about 2-3 Chinese 77kg guys Sn 170+ LOL

Did you catch the chinese nationals? Lot of misses.

Chinese nationals are NOT tested

The Iranian Nations are not tested as well right? Same with the Russian ones?

The Chinese 77 were smashing it…4 guys with 360+ totals…4 guys that Sn 160+, an unofficla WR of 175! It was crazy. This guy PJ 200! A few guys WALKING out of 200+ like NOTHING and then a dude nearly had 211 for the WR! INSANE.

The russian nationals are but the presidents cup is not i think?

I wonder will they send the new guy? That did the 175? I doubt lu xiaojun will be left home but Su dajin maybe?
They’ve both proved themselves internationally and probably hit over the 211 in training.

Presidents cup not tested LOL, standard lol

The new guy is young and I don’t think they will send him. Xiaojun will go as he is the World Champ, has historically done not so great at the Nationals but smashed it at the Worlds the same year, most proven International record, 1st in 2009, 2011, 2nd in 2010 when he didn’t Jerk that well, not sure of Su but the Chinese have 6 slots and apprently he is from the same province as the National Coach. Su has medalled silver and bronze at the Worlds on 2-3 occasions as well. I heard they’ll make some of the 77’s go to the 85s. Lu Young didn’t do that great at the Nationals, he won but didn’t hit a great total relatively speaking. Most would kill for 175/200+ :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m sure all of them have hit over 211 in training when heavier.
