20 Rep Squat Challenge Thread

Shall we make this a race to 400lbs?

Rules:
Squat to parallel to deeper
Any type of squat allowed - Overhead, front, back squat etc
No Crossfitters! everyone else welcome

Someone please post a video of themselves doing it in a multi-ply suit. I have always wanted to see a guys’ eyes explode out of their head

It’s cause this shit is hard as fuck. Almost all these were too high but I still went home and felt like puking until I fell asleep. Can’t imagine doing it with 400 lbs.

StompingHorse was getting close to 405x20, but I haven’t seen him post in a while.

Have you tried bringing in you stance for higher - rep squats?

This was month ago, but I changed my routine where I don’t do a widowmaker anymore :confused: I think I’ll implement them again, try to get 315x20 by the end of the year.

Ohh and LOL for me being 100lbs weaker then everyone else so far.

Worked up to 315 for 20 (pretty high) reps once. Honestly, I’d rather jab a rust fork in my eye.

Leg day is Friday and Cave your a beast great form.

I want in! It may take a while though. Best is 335x19 from the other widowmaker thread. If I go for it, someone will count for me.

I’ve tried bringing my stance in a lot of times and I either injure myself or fuck up form completely. I don’t like it.

This is some awesome shit.

I would join in but I’m weak as shit and I dont have regular enough access to a gym. Plus I hate squatting.

Solid squats, caveman, but that sweatband is clearly multi-ply.

Good work guys. Smolov right now but later this year I’ll definitely be giving 3 plates x 20 a try.

Can’t participate because I’m dealing with raging knee tendinitis… again!

However, my best 20-rep squat was 277 lbs at a bodyweight of 145, several years ago.
Also, did 50 reps using 145 lbs (when I weighed 145), several years ago.

Now I’m an old, weak, beat-up dwarf.
Grumpy too.

Dismal failure. 245 for 16. The camera’s tilted so they’re not quite as shallow as they look.
